So, I did the JB long time ago when it just got out, I've put the console in the closed and never turned it on until now. What I did is that I followed the Modded Warfare's guide " Jailbreaking the PS5 with Y2JB (No Backup Required)" but I skipped some parts like the Netflix part (I guess I don't need to do that since I already have the JB on my PS5).

What I really did is, I ran the exploit through this and it was successful:

Then I downloaded all the files from the Modded Warfare's video: YT app, PS5 Xplore, y2jb_update.zip and the download0 file. I've set up the network DNS settings. I installed the YT app and the PS5 Xplore app but the YT app is giving me this message (on the Modded Warfare the app actually runs):

Now, I tried to get the download0.dat file to that folder like on the video but the PS5 Xplore app is giving me so much trouble that I just gave up after restarting the PS5 10 times, running the exploit and getting stuck in the loop where I start the PS5 Xplore, press X on the Root Access, wait for a 30-60 seconds and then it freezes.

Now, I'm not sure if I skipped some steps, should I even be using the Y2JB, what are the benefits from the current old setup that I have (can I just update the old setup or?)... anyway, if anyone could help me I would appreciate it.

you don't need the offcat u can simply use np-fake-signin by earthonion.. although the github is down atm you can possibly track the elf file.. its just a payload u run it and it activates ur offline account (can even make a new account call it whatever and then run this payload) then u have a "fake" activated account and y2jb will work fine without needing to do the full backup/restore route.. it worked on mine i'm on 4.03 btw

benefit of above is that even ur remote play and all will fully work (ie giving u a pincode to pair with remote devices etc) its as close as u can get to having an "activated" account without signing into psn.
