But with a company that's now using AI for their products? I think it should be a good thing honestly.
An absolutely stupid take. Every video that used the trailer has apparently been hit, which means you're also celebrating people who made videos criticising Nvidia's use of AI having their content being taken down?

In an ideal world a company like Nvidia having their content hit this way would push YouTube into some kind of change, but like I said before, it's happened in the past and it'll undoubtedly happen again.

I don't give a single fuck about the other people. All that I care about right now is Nvidia getting what it deserves and I'm happy with it.

this is such an imaginably bad take that i'll side with nvidia for this one, celebrating copyright abuse makes the internet a worse place for everyone

I would say this is more about YouTube's problematic takedown system than commentary on AI.

If anything the footage should be public domain if AI generated content can't be copyrighted and thus shouldn't be taken down.

(Obviously I'm not a lawyer, just going off comments I've seen elsewhere).

Yes CRAZY! and youtube is ..... LOL i have no words....

Hi youtube IAM THE LIGHT , ban all channels please

We should not be celebrating the abuse of YouTube's horrible copyright system. I don't care what you think of the product or the company. This is a clear violation of copyright law and if you celebrate it here, you should also celebrate when it happens to you.

If you think the biggest, most valuable, and most succesful company in human history is somehow damaged and/or hurt by this video -- which was widely panned by its intended audience -- being temporarily taken down via a Youtube strike, you are even more delusional than Jensen “5070 has 4090 performance at $549” Huang. 🤣

Obviously you are not a lawyer since this is obviously NOT a violation of copyright law either in the US or in Italy. Go ahead: Cite the law or the legal precedent that makes this a violation of copyright law. You cannot because it is not. As for Youtube's "horrible" copyright system, Alphabet is protecting itself from the very thing you are so concerned about: Being sued for copyright infringement. If they leave something up that is being claimed to be under copyright protection, they may be liable for damages. If they take it down, they are safe. Why are the safe? Because you fundamentally have no right whatsoever to have your videos on their platform. Ultimately it is at the sole discretion of Alphabet (Youtube's parent company) if a video is available on their site. And of course, that discretion has nothing whatsoever to do with copyright law.

How is a channel that steals footage from Nvidia and then uses their stolen footage to strike the true copyright other *not* a violation of copyright?

italian here, the story is simplier than you think, in 2015 parliment approved a law to censor internet without prior investigation, so if someone report something as illegal to the autorities, it magically disappear until further investigation are done, that is the result. italian internet in censored more than chinese, but people are too dumb to notice. telling you by personal experience, my internet usage shifted from that day, i had to buy vpn, making some server for my home and other stuff that cost me money.
