Atmosphere v1.11.0 released, adds support for Switch firmware 22.0.0

The wait is over! 18 days after the release of Switch firmware 22.0.0, the latest version of Atmosphere is available to download. This update brings support for the latest Switch firmware, with special thanks given to alula for handling a lot of the heavy lifting around the kernel, loader, and erpt changes. This update doesn't come without some downsides however, with changes to how applications and applets' lifespans are managed apparently breaking the homebrew ecosystem. Please note: A change in how applications/applets' lifespan is managed broke the homebrew ecosystem.
  • All applications and applets are expected to perform a clean exit by calling the relevant IPC commands.
  • Homebrew compiled with libnx and hbmenu itself explicitly avoid exiting so it can keep using the same process.
    • Properly fixing this would require a re-design of how homebrew is launched and terminated.
  • As a temporary solution, patches to the am sysmodule are now included which allow restoring the previous behavior and regain homebrew compatibility without any further changes.
  • Nonetheless, please report any issues you may face when testing homebrew to ensure no edge cases have been missed.

Though a temporary solution has been implemented, users should be aware and report any issues that arise from previously-working homebrew.

While this is generally true, I still have high respect for hexkyz and alula because taking on a very big codebase that someone else left behind who worked there for years isn't easy.
You have to get your head into it and find all references whereas someone already familiar with it like SciresM needs less time to do things.

Back to business, thanks a lot: Hexkyz / Alula / CTCaer, and all Others, I now have access to the eMuMMC again. I'll be more careful next time I update; I'll read more and investigate more. It happened because I was playing Fortnite; it asked me to update the system, and I thought it was just the game. But it's very satisfying to know that there are people like you, a true hero, that we're not helpless. Thank you so much.

any one know if there's been another cfw update ZIP for this version? Trying to unbrick my Switch since i accidentally updated my Switch when 20 released because of my bitch ex
 
Works really well so far. Nothing I tried broke, that might speak to how little Nintendo changed, while changing just enough to stop the CFW from loading.

Download the new release and extract it like every other time you've updated it. Launch with fusee.bin as the payload, that's what I had to do.

I updated mine when I was drunk. I accidentally clicked the update button instead of "start software" when launching a game.
 
You guys saved my a**, we were on holiday and the console did update via free WLAN without me realizing it went online(maybe I added the network on a previous holiday at this hotel) glad I could fix it the day I came home

Maybe it just took longer because the new team don't know how everything works by now. If you wrote code yourself its easier. Imagine trying to cook in a strangers kitchen. "Where the heck is the salt"

heres a tip if the hotel has ethernet buy a travel router set up 90dns (and maybe a paid wireguard vpn config too) connect the hotels ethernet to the router (also delete the hotels wifi from your switch's connections)and then only connect to your travel router when away from home

sadly my console cant even download 22.0 for some fucked reason and i don't know how to fix it. the internet's working fine. youtube on it is working fine. the console isn't banned becuase the error code is just the one saying there's no internet. I am at a loss for what to do to even fix this. it started happening out of nowhere and i just want to update now that the stuff is out because this won't let me do most other things anymore.

i like this though. i just wish i could use it :sad:
 
Updated, and now nothing will install. Awoo and DBI just crash. Can't use any USB installer either.

This is very frustrating. Is there any new updates I am missing?

I would like to know also. I used to use AtomXL Title Installer which was fantastic.
Awoo and AtomXl Title Installer says " This application does not support the Current ABI.

Use NS-USBLoader and Awoo on your switch. Works perfect for installs
