Congrats for you'r new home! Im really happy for you!

For real, yesterday it was 2011, i was a teen, and i just buyed the 3DS and now im a full adult?! No way! And i have to be a responsible one? Come on! :rofl2:

There's still a child in me who marvels at seeing the 3D effect of the console and who dreams of improving it even more!
Exactly! Where did the time go?? But I still make time for 3DS of course because that's mandatory life stuff :D

The game I've been really playing is Etrian Odyssey Untold. That 3D depth code is one of the best ones we've done. I haven't had any crashes or glitches whatsoever, and it's SO great to extend the focal point of the labyrinth. Just adds to the mystery and immersion!

Games like that with no culling artifacts or pop-in were really made for this. I wish other people could see it!

Thank you for making these 3d cheat codes available! I stumbled onto this thread looking for this 3d effect for the two 2d Mario games. Most of the codes for other games work great and look amazing. The one for bowser's inside story definitely works:

Mario & Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story + Bowser Jrs Journey v.12 - USA
Title ID: 00040000001D1400

[3D Slider ON]
D3000000 00000000
0042A1F4 00000702
D2000000 00000000

This code doesn't work on superstar saga though. If possible, can anyone find the parallax on effect with no depth for either of:

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions
00040000001B8F00 USA
00040000001B9000 EU

[Parallax Barrier, No 3D Depth]
D3000000 00000000
00418F94 00000000
D2000000 00000000

[3D Depth DefaulT]
D3000000 00000000

D2000000 00000000

[3D Depth +]
D3000000 00000000
00418F94 41900000

[3D Depth ++]
D3000000 00000000
00418F94 41F00000
D2000000 00000000

[3D Depth +++]

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D doesn't work for me. Every time I boot the game with the plugins enabled, it shows:
An error occurred (ErrDisp)
Error type:
generic
Process ID:
39
Process name:
CtrApp
Process title ID: 0004000000033500
Address:
Error code:
0x004660c4
0xe0a01839
Press any button to reboot.

I have tried to re-add the codes incase if I didn't type something correctly but no luck. My tittle ID is correct and I pasted these exact codes into CTRPF. Clearly I am doing something wrong but I don't know what. Can anyone help me?

I had the same happen, I ended up disabling the plugin after I entered the code. Then I rebooted into the game and pulled up the luma menu instead to enable the cheat. There's an option for that.

Launch the game with plugins disabled. Turn the code on from the Luma menu (L+ D-Pad DOWN + Select). Don't do it until you've loaded the actual game (not on the home menu). See if that works. Ocarina is one of the most stable codes for me.

Yep I ended up figuring that out. There were a few other games I needed to change to Luma. Thanks for the response tho haha.

I ended up switching to Luma for that game, as well as a few others. Thanks for response.

So, I'd like to try and find these codes myself. How does it work? It seems complicated.. I read the following on the first page of this thread :

Code:
Depth 3D Values could be:

41200000
40200000
40F00000
40C00000

Pop-out 3D values could be:

44200000
40C00000

Values that usually surround the 3D depth/pop values:

3F800000
3F8C8000
BF800000

Example:

MONSTER HUNTER 4 ULTIMATE:

081C6730 40F00000 <-- This is how the default value For 3D Depth looks in memory
081C6734 40C00000 <-- This is how the default value For 3D Pop looks in memory

As an example, these two games have similar but different codes for the same depth effect. They both have 3 lines of 8 + 8 digit code. Sorry, I'm new to this hex number form and address finding.

Where does the D3 in D3000000 00000000 come from in the first line? The D2 in D2000000 00000000 of the third line? Is that always the case that you use D3000000 00000000 in the first line and D2000000 00000000 in the third line? How do you find the two 8 digit codes on the second line?

Plus Monster hunter's code uses D3000000 08000000 instead of D3000000 00000000.

Is it really just trial and error or is there a method to spot the address concerning the 3d effect?

Metroid: Samus Returns - EUR 00040000001BFB00

Where is the tutorial on how to do this though?

I would like to do this for New Leaf, but I thought I had everything correct with 'installing' CTRPF, but nothing changes with 3d, even after enabling the plugin loader.

Does this no longer work in 2026?

Everything works.

Try it first without CTRPF/plugin loader, which is not mandatory.

Put the code in a .txt file, name the file the title ID of the game, put it in the cheats folder.

From the luma shortcut menu in the game, it should show up as a toggle in "cheats." See if that works.

For a moment I thought it enabled 3D in the game, but it just enables the parallax barrier...

Last edited by CrazySquid,
I meant the codes would even work if they were made for the usa version of the game?

If you put the correct EUR title IDs as the file folder, they probably will work. Depends on whether the versions store the info in the same locations.

I have had the same problem as well using both plugin and luma for ACNL welcome amiibo and ice station Z. maybe database is outdated?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to learn how to create a cheat code using CTRPF to change the 3D setting per the OP. I've been using the following wiki but I'm stuck: https://www.gamebrew.org/wiki/CTRPluginFramework_3DS#Action_Replay/Gateshark_cheats

I've enabled the plugin loader from Rosalina, created a folder specific to the game in sd:/luma/plugins/<TITLEID>, and added a CTRPluginFramework-BlankTemplate.3gx to that folder.

When I launch the game I get the plugin ready indication, so I hit select to get enter into the editor but I'm not sure what to do next. Is there a better guide out there I can reference? Or is someone willing to walk me through the rest of the process to enter the cheat? Do I need to create a text file with notepad and place it in the following location? sd:/cheats/<tid>.txt

For example I'm doing this for Majora's Mask so the Title ID is 0004000000125500. And the cheat has already been identified:

[3D Depth ++ (Deeper 3D)]
D3000000 00000000
00106BC8 42000000
D2000000 00000000

I have much to learn!, thanks in advance with any help!

EDIT: I read thorough the entire thread thank you @Moogley for posting the YouTube tutorial for using and installing the CTRPF plugin earlier in this thread. I’m going to install some of these cheats later this week!

I also found post https://gbatemp.net/threads/better-...velopment-and-discussion.625945/post-10528711 very useful as it consolidated a lot of the codes.

Thank you @nanashifinal13 & @skyrimer for putting in the time discovering and testing the codes as well!

See my post at the end of this thread it should help

I know some people have fiddled with turning the 3D on in Dragon Quest VIII, and that it would tank the fps even if it worked. However, as there seems to have been some success in simply activating the parallax barrier even in 2D games, could such a thing be possible in DQVIII without losing FPS? There wouldn't be 3D but it would, I think, enhance the image quite a bit nonetheless.
