Will he reveal his process and code to the public for free, or is he hoping MS will offer him enough money to keep his mouth shut. I hope its not the latter.

Or if you are on a low firmware, you can exploit devmode and elevate the privileges to SystemOS level.By soldering to the mainboard
This should allow you to dump F:\, which is the NAND.

I wonder where would it go from here? At the end of his presentation he said something like it won’t be him but he’s curious to see who’s gonna replicate his work…
I’m only a layman and can barely even scratch the surface of all that but I’m guessing the information he shared in the video is enough for another person to compromise the bootrom in the same way like he did and then in a matter of time a modchip could follow?

Sure only a matter of time but you have to consider some big factors
This system is over 10 years old
Affected consoles are very limited in quantity
Even with this presentation developing and testing a modchip will take someone hundreds of free hours of their own time before they even have results still
Those are not minor hurdles to overcome
