Ubisoft announces long-rumoured remake Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced

After many months of rumours and speculation, Ubisoft have today confirmed that a remake of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag is in the works. Announced as a part of a blog looking at Assassin's Creed going into 2026, details remain sparse. At the time of writing all we really have to go on is the key art at the top of this post. On the topic, the blog reads:

Speculation around Assassin's Creed is not new, but it's worth repeating: "Nothing is true. Everything is permitted."
Well, except in this case, some whispers have a little more wind in their sails. Keep your spyglass on the horizon. 🦜

In this post Ubisoft also celebrates the one year anniversary of Assassin's Creed Shadows, discuss their projects HEXE and INVICTUS, as well as announcing a free 60fps patch for Assassin's Creed Unity on Xbox Series consoles and PS5, and mentioning that more news is on the way soon for the live action Netflix show.

You can read more on the Ubisoft blog.

Even when they do something wrong it's still okay with you because a hacker fixed it. Ubisoft loves customers like you, buddy.
I'm not a buddy, but okay! And I never said it was okay! That still angers me they did that, but all companies do dumb stuff.

I'm not going to hate every game they made, because they make dumb decisions.

I love my Switch and my Nintendo games, but I don't like Nintendo's actions on almost everything in the past 10 years.

But I still like their games! And I don't hate their brand, because of the ignorant people running their company currently.

That would be small minded of me...and I'm not small minded.

I'm a critical thinker, and don't make rash decisions, based off bias, or emotions.

Don't forget Driver, but I'm glad they didn't even touch that IP.

Rayman Origins is awesome and you can play if you have an Xbox One (or newer) or PC on current systems, it was also released on Wii and PS3 but not really BC. And it was also ported to the Vita and 3DS although I'm guessing they're downgrades.
When I mentioned Rayman, I referred to the Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition. I don't have issues with Origins and Legends.

Ah yes cancel Prince of Persia remake and then continue the remake on a game that is perfectly playable on current gen through backwards compatibility...

Someone said Ubisoft are king of Open World games? Sorry but nah.... I would say its Rockstar... Ok GTA is not the holy grail of games, thats true but still....... Ok this is my opinion... But opinions do vary xD

Am I the only person that really enjoyed Watchdogs Legion?

No you're not! It wasn't a terrible game in any way!

The issue with the game, is it had too many playable characters, instead a regular protagonist, like 1 and 2.

The story would have been okay, if they would have made it relevant or mean something to importance to a small group or a single person.

The Aiden and Wrench DLC, made the game worth playing, while bringing his grown nephew from part 1 back and finishing his story.

So there were things to like and dislike! Also London was incredibly detailed and beautiful all around.

It's literally insane, how amazing they made London and it was truly alive.

That was me and yes they are!

Since the first AC game, they've proven, they do more than almost every company who's ever made a open world game.
Even GTA!

Not a single GTA game is as immersive or alive as any of the Watch Dogs or AC Games.
GTA 1,2,3, VC, SA, 4, or 5.

Yes they have minor details, but nothing like open stores and shops, real people living lives out, actual lives.

Sometimes you can play Watch Dogs 1 and 2, and rarely see the same person, that's insane!

AC 1, 2 and 3 for starters, the villagers and towns of living people, for it's time is insane.

Props to RDR2, because it's a phenomenal game, and I'll never take that away from them, it's a amazingly detailed game too, but even with the graphics.

The world isn't as alive as any of the Ubisoft Stuff, look at what they did with Avatar and so forth! Just insane. Plus all there open world games, you can actually interact, climb, move, etc.

Almost anything in their environments, it's amazing!

WD1+2 bundle was a much better deal, but unfortunately it's just 30fps. Both of them in 60fps would be even better!

What did you find shit about Legion? I thought it was loads of fun wandering around London, and the visuals were so good for the time.
All the characters have the same voice, the "futuristic" vision is dull, and London in that game is less fun than The Getaway from 2002.

At least it runs at 60fps on PS5 while WD1+2 are 30fps.

I don't remember much about it now other than I loved driving around on a scooter.
