It's almost ready... maybe another week or so.

When the beta is ready, it will appear here: https://github.com/wavemotion-dave/MicroDS

You will need the 8K MICROCOLOR BASIC ROM (MC10.BIN or MC10.ROM)

This one is getting really close! One final issue to work out and I think it's ready for beta.

You should seek out some of the cool stuff that was done for this little baby computer: PAC-MAN homebrew takes the MC-10 to the limits, S.U.K.S is a fun little semi-graphics shooter, Dragon's Castle 2020, MC Bouncy Ball, Berzerk and Meteor are some of my favs.

I'll have code up in a day or two.. but if you have the ability to star my lonely repository, that would be splendid:

Ha! Very cool! MC-10 PAC Man is one of the more demanding games for this micro system. I hope it plays smoothly on nearly ancient DS hardware :)
Compared to XROAR ONLINE, it seems to be fullspeed on the relic :D

60 fps in your emu.

May I ask you to increase the max sound volume ? It is quite low.

  • Fix for SG6 graphics when character index is > 128
  • A subset of 'common' 6803 undocumented instructions added.
  • START issues CLOAD/CLOADM and SELECT issues the RUN command.
  • Cleanup of configuration and key map handling.
  • Removed partial MCX support until a better plan can be had.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been very active on the forum lately. My real life has been very hectic lately, but I've been following the news, and wow! What news!

A huge thank you to you, Dave. Once again, you've prepared a little gem for us. It's so cool!

For those wondering what games I'll be able to play on this emulator, here's the answer in a video. One year ago, a french YouTuber made a video about the Tandy MC-10 and the Matra Alice 4K (its French clone):

Personally, I have a soft spot for Inufuto games, which can be found here:

Thanks Indy! I appreciate you man.

Getting close on this... Just released another version. Only cleanup remains - all features are in.

  • Implemented all undocumented 6803 CPU opcodes.
  • Added partial MCX support for MCXBASIC 2.1
  • Improved timer handling and implemented proper timer counter latching.
  • Cleanup and commenting across the board as time permitted.

MCXbasic 2.1 ??
It's the version of MCXBASIC from the MCX-128 project. MAME supports it as well. It requires MCX.ROM with the exact checksum as mentioned in my readme file. There is precious little that needs MCXBASIC - so it might not be worth tracking down.
