IMHO, the 12 year isn't worth the premium. Not because it isn't good, but because the non-vintage is just THAT good! And Ardbeg... taught me that I should avoid any whiskey that has any word related to "smokey" in the description. Can't stand the stuff. I suppose my whiskey tastes haven't matured yet, because I also have a 21 year Hibiki, but it gives me heartburn, and I like Blender's Choice a whole lot better. And FWIW, the Ardbeg Uigeadail puts them all to shame anyway.
But back on topic, I picked up a Macbook Pro with an M4 Pro chip and 48GB ram a few days ago... out of sheer morbid curiosity (well, ok, also the fact that I'm tired of messing around with macOS in a vm, which is even more of a pain in my rear on my AMD desktop than on my Intel laptop... and I need to use xcode to build Provenance-emu on my phone and iPad). And I must say... all of the WTF things rolling around in my head about them, are JUSTIFIED. I can't believe there are people who will only use a Mac. The thing needs a dock just to use ETHERNET! The trackpad doesn't have any form of right-click by default... you have to dig into settings to turn on that functionality. People here with one, have issues with having to use the archive bit fix on their Switch. So far, I see no appeal whatsoever. Any fanboys feel free to PM me and let me know what's so good about these things. Do any emulators have better performance on Mac silicon than on a 7950x3d? Jebus... the price I paid and it only has a 512GB storage (biggest storage they had in-store with 48GB ram), 230GB remaining, and all I've done was install xcode, built Provenance-emu for my phone and iPad, and just started to setup my environment to build Switch and 3DS stuff (so far installed dkp-pacman, switch-dev, and figured out how to make an alias for zsh, since SciresM refuses to change his Atmosphere build scripts to use python3 instead of python).
