@master801 when i load twilight menu onto the sd card and boot my flash card it says cant open_dsmenu.dat and on the home screen deep labyrinth atlus usa inc is listed thats what i click that gives me the error

That sounds like it's using WoodR4.

Have you already tried the 2 WoodR4 firmwares I linked to?

EDIT: Also, only the `.com` flashcarts are time bombed. .hk, .com.hk, .com.cn aren't. But they also don't support RTS like the `.com` carts do - but the function is very poor at best.

@master801 the only issue i have is when i pull up the games list the background is black and while i can se the game icons i cant see the nake of the game since the background is black

Hmm.. Didn't you use the one I posted at the thread beginning (YSMenu.zip)? The background of the game list should be white and light blue. Anyway if the game titles don't appear, that version of YSMENU is wrong, I'm afraid.

If your r4 has the "Deep Labyrinth" icon (like my other flashcart in the photo) then they are right: you have to use Wood software! Check their links.

Instead try my version of YSMENU only if the name of the files/folders matches the one already used that started the flashcart. I don't want to be blamed in case of unexpected events. Below is the image of my version of YSMenu menu. I repeat: try Wood first!

It's already inside the folder, if I'm not mistaken. I've never looked inside. The cheats worked "out of the box".

Hey @SylverReZ , @master801 , did you see that I was right, against all logic? YSMenu worked, while Wood didn't, who knows why. I immediately noticed that the r4 aesthetically resembled the Gold Pro, but with a different name and website: were these put on the label at random? Truly absurd! What do you think?

You need to be specific when talking about a flashcart. There are too many clones with the exact same name (i.e. these carts) to know which exact one you're talking about. Show a picture or something.

Because when you say Gold Pro, it makes me think of the flashcart with the yellow PCB (important later on) selling on AliExpress now.

I've noticed that these (.com.cn) are the same exact flashcarts as .com.hk carts.

There are slight differences in certain carts, and the only way to know is to differentiate by PCB tracing when looking at the back. Even then, it's VERY slight, and not noticeable unless you're comparing the two.

Chief, have you read this entire thread from start to finish? I can't repeat it again here. The OP posted photos of his/her r4, shortly after I posted mine: aesthetically (shell color, label color) similar, but different name and site. YSMenu shouldn't have worked, and Wood should (based on card name and its site). Instead the opposite happened. That's the strange thing. Did I make myself clear?
