All of these things has caused immeasurable damage to the postal service. That's part of why we can't allow Trump to continue to make things worse for everyone. The problem is that postal voting in America has become extremely unreliable after Louis DeJoy (a Republican and Trump supporter) became U.S. Postmaster General and ruined the entire postal service. You can read more about it here.
Trump told a TV interviewer that he himself was blocking funds for the postal service in order to hinder mail-in voting back in 2020, too.
So while we want to do postal/mail-in voting, it's sadly corrupted all over the place. That's why it's very important for us to drive to actual Voting Poll Places and vote for Harris to save our country and democracy. While she isn't the best candidate to have, she's sure is a hell of a lot better than Trump. The lesser of two evils, essentially.
Notice the repeated patterns how it's just the GOP/MAGA/Republicans that are trying to ruin the elections and America as a whole? It's always their side and never anyone else's.
That's why America's completely fucked if Trump is appointed again as he would have more power to appoint more yes-man lackeys on to higher positions like back when he was President in 2016-2020, demolish the economy even further than before, tax cut more rich people and make middle class even poorer, ban abortion nationwide, put women, LGBTQ+, race of color into lower importance and set us back an entire century or 3 with gender and racial discrimination, etc.
Because, sadly, federal law bars the president from terminating the postmaster general under any circumstances. So Biden can't do anything about it unless there are enough Post Office Board of Governors members actually choose to vote DeJoy out and so far they have not. And even if he did it today, the amount of damages that's already been done would be too late to fix and will take TIME to fix that's been heavily ruined. What you pointed out makes sense, but why wasn’t the issue fixed in 4 years of Biden?
Just commit or change whatever position you have. Completely removing your opinion because a thread isn’t going the way you expected isn’t a good way to hold a conversation.
And 0 power to remove the trumper head of USPS who deliberately is failing thisMan... It's almost like they had 4 years to prepare for it.
Yeah, Not sure why Biden didn't fire Louis DeJoy as soon as he entered office, and still hasn't. But someone needs to get rid of him.And 0 power to remove the trumper head of USPS who deliberately is failing this
He obviously can't.Yeah, Not sure why Biden didn't fire Louis DeJoy as soon as he entered office, and still hasn't. But someone needs to get rid of him.
If the president can't, then who can? It should have been one of his top executive orders when he was signing them.He obviously can't.
Not even the president is above the lawIf the president can't, then who can? It should have been one of his top executive orders when he was signing them.

Ah, got it. So he needs to fire those 9 board directors and replace them first...

The postmaster general is the tyrant tho, so... Mild by comparison.Sounds a little tyrannical, but I guess that's a matter of perspective.

The objectively correct perspective is that anybody who attempts to sabotage mail delivery/ballot delivery should not only be fired, but also prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. There's also only one party that benefits from voter suppression, and I don't think anybody is surprised by the fact that it's the same party running a convicted felon for president. That's why I mentioned perspective.

You know damn well that Congress is split, and Republicans have already voted multiple times to protect criminals within the party. Hell, they went so far as to oust the speaker just to protect a known pedophile in Matt Gaetz. Democrats want to wait until there is concrete proof of criminality to act, but by then it will likely be too late, and it's not like Republicans would be fazed by such proof anyway. This would be a prime opportunity for Biden to test the limits of immunity granted to him by SCOTUS.Take it up with your Democrat elected representatives who've done nothing about it.
