Even trying to brute force upscaling the resolution of the game, only the hud upscales, the actual 3d gameplay stays the exact same 900p. doesnt matter if its 1080p, 4k, or even 8k the gameplay is stuck at 900p.
unsure, but it'd be interesting to see this particular part of the new game's code exploited for such purposes:
there is but this thread is about the resolutionany for 60fps?
To be clear, they were asking if there was any 60FPS handling in the code, not if a 60FPS patch exists, and as far as I'm aware nobody's found anything like that yet.there is but this thread is about the resolution
i'm still talking about patches hereTo be clear, they were asking if there was any 60FPS handling in the code, not if a 60FPS patch exists, and as far as I'm aware nobody's found anything like that yet.
Nah, the 60FPS is real and out there. To be clear, they were asking if there was any 60FPS handling in the code, not if a 60FPS patch exists, and as far as I'm aware nobody's found anything like that yet.
Yes, I'm saying GatoFiestero was replying to samred posting the datamined 4K support, asking if there was a similar hook for native 60FPS support in the game itself. I was trying to clarify that you saying 'yes' was incorrect, as no such hook has been found. I don't understand why you're so caught up on this.i'm still talking about patches here

As for a resolution patch, I think that's going to take a lot more time. What's likely going on is that the TTYD remake is probably utilizing FSR upscaling in-engine, like a fair few recent Nintendo releases have done. I don't think that's as trivial to patch out as the 60FPS patch that's floating around (which isn't perfect either; it seems to break the Puni AI pretty significantly).
what i really hope for is a mod to lock resolution at 720p so it no longer dips below in handheld mode.good news! someone has made resolution mods and uploaded them to gamebanana!
