Hey, guys!
So, I have troubleshot every dang way people have tried to show me to get saves to work for both GBC and GBA Pokémon games…
32gb card Fat32 32bit
Latest Kernal: 1.09
GBC
Tried L+R normal saves and save states. If I reset the game with A+B+Start+Select, then I can see “Continue” at the game menu. I also can load the save states from the L+R menu. If I select to reboot/reset, exit, or power off the system all save states are completely gone and the game no longer recognizes the save file that I can clearly see in the SAVER folder.
GBA:
The game pops up a weird “Unable to save game” and in Fire Red, allows me to continue. It even recognizes the save file when I save a second file. Same situation as the GBC games after that. No more save recognition, no more save states, etc. On Emerald, after a save attempt fails, it kicks me straight back out to the main menu where it only gives me the New Game option. But still has a save file in the SAVER folder.
I’ve also tried the SimpleLight kernel. Same stuff.
Other games seem to save correctly.
Thoughts/solutions?
