fusee invalid gpt when upgrading to larger sd

As the title says...

Finally have a larger sd card as I nearly filled up my original one I got with this switch. but now the problem is that even after copying the data from the old to the new, larger one, when I boot up with it, that's the only message I get and it won't let me past, not even to where I would boot up a payload, much less to use the console. Not sure what I could be doing wrong. Only that I'd like to get this solved since I have less than 3gb left on the original. which was the point of getting the new one.

E: have you tried the fix hybrid gpt button in Hekate already?

Probably easier to start at the beginning and format your SDCard using rufus and then let Hekate slide and dice your card for you. here’s a guide that shows three ways to get your emunand over to the new card.

I can't even get it to let me see anything past that error screen if I use the new card.

Even when I put the old card back to go into Hekate, it tells me there's nothing to fix.

You would inject Hekate…this is before anything starts up…at the bootloader stage.

Stop Hekate from booting by hitting the Vol(-) button.

I don't know? It may have at some point. When I stick the original SD card into the PC, windows will whine and want to format a secondary partition. But if I look. At Hekate's menu, it makes it seem as if it's not actually using it, either. Safe to say this has me super confused.

What it says under system string when you boot up Atmosphere with the original card?

I'll have to check when I get back from work and can have some time to actually investigate.

Where would I see this system string? I presume I can still capture it afterwards?

If by chance it is still using a partition based emunand instead of just a file like I thought it was, how would I migrate it accordingly? Seeing as my gut tells me doing so, would make it easier to upgrade capacity.

It is in system setting, if it says S it is sysnand, if says E it is emunand

Oh *that.*
Yeah, I think I have it set to boot emunand by default.

At least in a pinch I can make space by purging the RetroArch and ROM folders, I think.

You can't do copy and paste if you have a hidden partition emunand, you have to move that emunand with the emunand tool.

okay, got home, backed up the contents of the first sd, and the emunand partition with emutool. Managed to boot up the tegraexplorer to format the new one. followed the steps to restore the emunand to the new card, then copy over the contents over to it. And...

Still the same error.

When I try going there, it just insists no valid gpt was found on the existing, working card.

If I stick the new card in, it literally won't even let me boot into any payload without that error getting in the way

Sounds like you need a deep format using something like rufus.

Format it as:
Unbootable
MBR
FAT32
32k block size

That should allow you to get into Hekate properly.

Before I do the other thing, I noticed that link has a different nand backup utility. Here's hoping that one will work.

That flawed GPT issue should probably be addressed. You’ve got something funky going on there. A low level format will guarantee that it can be fixed (or there’s something wrong with the card.)
