    Nope the DSTWO is awesome. It works in every DS console I own including one of the new 2ds systems with updated software. It's worthwhile for DS roms and if you decide to upgrade consoles you don't have to upgrade by buying a new cart as you would if you had an r4 cart.

    Try on ebay or DX.com and i've heard even amazon.com have parts sellers. Don't be afraid to buy from chinese sellers just check their feedback carefully before buying. If you have an issue with them don't be afraid to email them they often will resolve any problem you have.

    I have tried several versions of the Kernel and none of them seem to work :'( I have emailed the dealer in hopes of them being able to give me the right firmware. I do believe it is the 2012 version though.
