    Apparently the DSi stage2 error (X-2435-8325) is also printing the SDK and IPL version. So every DSi stage2 is SDK 2435, IPL 8325. Maybe it’s known, but still kinda cool. Also means I was right assuming that’s what the numbers at the end of the .nand files were! I love getting things I don’t know right.

    The great thing about not knowing what you're doing is that you can randomly click onto neat things.

    My neat thing for today is new prototype system settings in TwlIPL (the bottomless pit). There are complete TADs in the object files here:
    TwlIPL/trunk/build/systemMenu_tools/TWLCaptureSystemWriter/ARM9.TWL/data/

    Some of these even install with TwlNmenu on retail! My dev unit finally gets to be the one with -2011.

    It feels like everyone in real life forgets about this. Actually no, I shouldn't say "it feels like". They just do. People are great for the first week of me telling them and then it's like me coming out never happened. I realize maybe I should say something, but also why do I have to? Why can't people just make some sort of effort?

    Oh I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m literally just asking people to use different pronouns. That’s it. They can treat me however they want beyond that, but I want just that.

    I wouldn't worry much. I've been out since my teens [actually I think earlier than that]. Believe me, Things do get easier as time goes on. Remember, I fought for US to be US. Enjoy it. :)

    Aw man, who would've thought that someone who barely knows C wouldn't be able to properly compile an app from TwlIPL? Though I think my only problem (aside from rushing in with no experience) is a couple missing libraries. I thought because some apps didn't need the private branch that maaaaaybe they'd work. Oh well, at least I have a working TWL SDK now?

    I might use this as an opportunity to play around with the SDK and see what things do. Then maybe I'll visit TwlIPL again and see if it's more than me being an idiot now lol

    Actually one good thing about having the SDK is that now I can compile things like tcl-2 and compare it to the version found in the gigaleaks. The gigaleak version is neat because of the random photos (two girls, a boy, cake) but now I can see if there's something different. Finally maybe more accuracy on my site!

    Ah fun, back into doom scrolling through politics and making myself feel horrible for the rest of the day. Then also feeling some need to continue making myself feel bad later on. Why can't I be addicted to something like drugs or alcohol?

    honestly i think the best thing that works for me is just to do some nice hobby activities and ignore my computer unless i get a notif. it's not exactly fixing the problem but at least you can try to get a mindset that avoids what you don't wanna see.

    politics are only important when they're affecting something at your doorstep, otherwise i think it just worries most people too much. or maybe i'm too apathetic lol

    Looking for help! Does anyone know about ".nand" files for the DSi? There's one or two in the gigaleaks (TwlIPL), every version of SystemUpdater has one (NitroFS:/data/common/menu_launcher.nand), and TWL EVA also refers to it (Evaluation Menu --> Initializer --> Import *.nand --> menu-lauchner)

    While the text does follow the format of the versions seen on the proto launcher and config, I'm not entirely sure it means anything anymore. Found that TWL EVA v2.1+ has these files. None of them have the string.

    Based on a very very quick inspection, this looks exactly like a Stage2 loader package.

    You can confirm this very easily if you try decrypting it using twltool. If it decrypts, it is indeed a Stage2 blob.

    Edit: nope, probably needs some trimming of the header to get twltool to recognize it. Undoubtedly this looks like a Stage2 blob, no matter how I look at it.

    I am overjoyed. My site is currently impossible to navigate when scaled down but I finally learned how to use flexboxes.
    I don't think I need to specify which is before and after.

    You adjust your DS screen potentiometers using your gut. I adjust my DS screen potentiometers with the FLICKER ADJUSTER test from Nitro EVA. We are not the same.

    Anyways one of my friends is willing to flash Nitro EVA to my dev cart. Definitely not gonna be a legit cart, but it'll still be cool to have running. Can't wait! (but I have to cause it'll be a month or two from shipping maybe lol)

    I was dreading reopening an old conversation because all I could remember was how awkward and weird I was. I left it for months and the every time I thought about my messages I felt really stressed. Today I finally checked my messages and found out it was actually a really good conversation. I should have just opened it from the start and saved myself from my pessimistic imagination.

    I forgot to say before but just when I thought apple season was over I got another free apple. Honestly not sure how I manage to luck out on this stuff. Many bushels of free apples, a free iPhone 8, and now a free MacBook. This is more powerful than all my other computers combined.

    I met someone at the coffee place who has the same hyperfixation on DS stuff as me. It's the only thing I can focus on/care about and I'm overly exited about every little DS related thing (and never for anything else). I think I annoy a lot of people because it's all I like. Finally though I have someone in real life that is just like me. We've met up a couple times and spent hours fixing things.

    I don't think I really explained this well, but tl;dr is that we've got the same "addiction" to electronics, we struggle the same ways in school because of that, we have the same attitudes, and we know the same things. He's like a long lost clone (or I'm the clone idk).

    Its great that you have met a friend who have the same interests as you. All I can think about the most right now is DS stuff, I like to fidget and screw around with consoles to see how they work. But my most hyper fixated thought right now is DS flashcarts.

    I've helped a friend of mine out with trying to get N-Card clones (i.e., DS Linker) to be mountable on GodMode9i, so I can screw around with the contents, which is now finally possible. I've also reverse engineered one of the updaters that were originally supplied on the manufacturers website (thankfully archived on Linfox Domain), regarding a simple CRC checksum check.

    Still messing around with photo editing on my new old iPhone. Definitely not great end photo, but I still like how much editing helped it suck less. The colors bleed a bunch in the end but there's no haze and the fainter parts of the screen pop out a bit more.

    I think if I took a better photo at the start (maybe by not holding the phone against a small microscope in the air) I might've been able to get something much better.

    Though hey, it still probably makes for a decent enough pfp and I've been wanting a new one for a while.
