  • I think I prefer this without all the CSS and also side by side.

Kinda like this? I can't put my usual navbar in since it just looks out of place here, but the background does look a bit better. Something feels off though...

Oh I think it just didn't stand out from the background well enough. This feels better.

    This looks absolutely perfect!

Shit, this is what I'd call peak web design!
Seriously though... all modern websites are boring, flashy (the bad kind), and absolutely trash accessibilty.
Yours looks really good, is good for accessibilty (or at least yes for visual impairment), and the menubar doesn't even need JS for the effect!
I went to my first world of commodore! It was awesome. Just a few minutes in and I joined a small PET demo watch party. We all pointed at the amazing effects at the same time. Definitely fit in well there.

The BIOS unlock failed... I think I bricked the BIOS lol. My programmer didn't tell me until after I started to flash the unlocked copy, but for some reason it was having bad reads and writes. The exact chip ID wasn't in the list so I chose what sounded the most like it. Selecting another thing worked but I had already overwritten the original. I'll find a copy online and try again next week.

Anyways here's are photos of my jank adapter cause the chip was just slightly too wide to fit normally.

Don´t worry, No BIOS, no problem!
Tomorrow I get to try removing a BIOS lock from a MacBook. Looking forward to it!

OOF, doesn't that need a chip clip-on thingy and a chip programmer? Or did someone find a way to hijack something to do it without hardware modifications?

Nope, still gotta have the programmer. And frustratingly no clip on thingies will work because it's QFN... it'll be a pain soldering it on and off (and hopefully I don't break it) but I think it'll be fun. And my coop says it's not working anyways so it's alright if I can't fix it. Spare parts for the other macs!

I've heard that its really difficult. You first need to desolder the chip with a hot air station before flashing to the chip. Be careful and good luck.

My friend upscaled and redesigned a couple of the icons on my nav bar and now they look much sharper. I didn't realize the blurriness was just from them being 32x32. Maybe I should upscale all the images I use.

I'm nearly done remaking my site to be actually usable. Now I've just got a bit of cleanup like fixing some screenshots. Come on, don't burn out now, please don't suddenly not feel like continuing, pleeeeease. If I don't stop then this'll be the first project I actually complete without giving up for no reason.
I redid the nav bar from scratch and it only took an hour and a half... compare that to the couple weeks of messing around when I first made it. I am very happy with my improvement! I must not suck as much as I thought.
Also this finally fixes the weird display issues on some browsers.

TwlNmenu is mobile friendly. MachineSettings isn't. The only difference is that MachineSettings has tables, so I remove them. It works. But I add the tables to TwlNmenu and things don't break. What is going on?

Add the table into a scroll container (overflow-x: scroll), pretty sure that's what's causing its parent to expand.

More easier said than done, as this is webdev, but good luck fixing it :)

The issue ended up being a code tag not wanting to wrap properly, but I'm gonna add the scroll to the tables just in case it becomes and issue in the future. Thanks!

I did see it being done at some website I visited literally days ago where it was done exactly like I described, so I thought it could be useful. What a funny coincidence :P

Doing more stuff improving my site. I'm really happy with how it's coming along. It still needs work (more mobile stuff, padding on the right side of the main box) but it's definitely a huge step up from before.

maketad.exe from the TWL SDK normally won't let you create TAD files for system titles and TwlNmenu/NandFiler. TwlIPL comes to save the day yet again showing that there's an unlisted flag (-s) that lets you make TADs for whatever DSiWare-type program you want. I'm going to use this to fill in the gaps in my archives.

idk if the youtube info banners and shorts section annoys anyone else but here are ublock filters. I love ublock so much.

I'm attempting to make my site mobile friendly for once but I'm stuck on the navbar. Is there any DSi themed replacement suitable for this that would work on small screen?

Definitely gonna keep as is for desktop though since it was one of the first things I ever made for my site and I still like it. Just need to clean up the icons lol

That's a cool idea. Maybe you can get away with adding a min-height and enabling overflow so that it scrolls horizontally. Most sites opt for hamburger style menus, but I think scrolling here would be better since it's exactly how the DSi does it.

Nice idea. I feel like scrolling might be a bit unfriendly (for lack of a better word) but I'll try it and see how it goes!
I found a 45 second video of me scrolling through my latest activity, but it's all me liking pineapplegod's posts. Hundreds of pineapplegod posts. I do not deserve to touch grass. Also rip anyone who missed the pineapplegod and stealphie era of the eof.

96 here, then apparently "[she] just keeps going" so idk maybe like 30-50 more?
156 here, then silence (maybe 10 or so?)
161 here to end it off with a bang.

    So idk, like 450+?

My last likebomb gets the thread locked and then there's an eof warning. Did I contribute to the spamming part of that lmao

Genuinely surprised I still have the like button.

I had my first few store bought apples in a long time. I had a few varieties and maybe it's a placibo effect from finding "wild" trees, but they tasted just okay. They weren't very crisp and didn't taste/feel fresh. The peel was also really tough and unpleasant. They weren't juicy either. The store bought apples were the perfect idea of a bland apple. I'm going to miss apple season.

There's a reason why store apples are "delicious". They're not from natural trees. Most store bought fruits/vegetables comes from greenhouses, and they're selected breeded to be tasty.
Of course natural apples from tree are off, but that will depend in maturity of the fruit and quality of the soil and or health of tree.

My coop is great. 5 macbook airs, 1 imac, and 1 xbox fixed. And there are 7 more imacs (plus maaaaaybe another macbook) waiting to have stuff done. You'd think my coop is some repair place, but no I'm supposed to be learning audio engineering lol. Can't complain though since fixing stuff is pretty fun.

True! They use apple because of Logic Pro but also talk about some windows programs being much better. And we always talk about apple sucking for repairability. Surprised we don't just use windows on a bunch of desktops lol

But I suppose all our plugins being tied to one apple ID makes sense.
