    Thank you very much for your help Foxi! I edited the OP to have my syscheck, which indicates I have MIOS v10. According to guides I've found, this is the best MIOS for playing GC games. Would you still recommend I go back to original then re-update to that MIOS?

    I'm already playing, and it's pretty obvious that Xenogears is the inspiration for the gameplay, which I find to be awesome. Can someone explain how the turns work? Like, what determines how many attacks you can do in a turn, and how to do those fancier attacks like Virtuoso? Thanks.
