    No I think you misunderstand. I already tried booting Luma3DS from the SD card. auto I guess I could try and get a newer version... The issue is that I couldn't boot GM9 via holding start either. Files on the SD, gold start, and it shows nothing onscreen. Blue light cuts out about 2 seconds later.

    alright, ribbon cable out, time to test games. *10 minutes later* seems to work so far! (except the camera app obviously) I got through a round of MK7 (which would crash somewhere around game 3 every time) thanks for the help! I'll look into getting a new camera.

    UPDATE: I noticed a rectangle on the top screen, and realized it looked like a cracked LCD, but there were no cracks. I believe it is simply due to a disconnected ribbon cable. I will order a screwdriver and fix the issue.
