No, a port is the exact opposite of emulation. Emulation is making it so that code compiled for different hardware can run on your machine. A port like this allows you to compile the source code so that it will run natively on your machine... -

Wouldn't this just end the secondary market? No more selling or lending games to friends and opens illegitimate account selling/trading on a larger scale as well as piracy.

There's no way to sell your games or get them second hand. This is why I am glad GKC exists. Full digital is worse.

The name is as "on the nose" as it possibly could be.
