Gaming [NA & EU] Official ‘Pokémon Black’ and ‘White’ Thread

There isn't an anti-piracy that prevents booting of the game, but in the Japanese version, non-fixed copies wouldn't be able to gain any EXP from battles. So there is anti-piracy, but if it's that similar to the JP version it shouldn't be around for long.

DS #4506: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (USA)

Well, I've been getting lag in certain areas, most notably on the train when there's two or three enemies at once. Also, Battle mode does not work for me, at all. It just goes to a black screen when I try to create or join a group. Using CycloDS with 1.56B4 and the patch by Xenophobia, by...

DS #4506: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (USA)

Is anyone else getting slowdown when fighting enemies on the train? It just happens when there's a bunch of stuff at once; like the pirate ships, tanks, or the boar-riding guys... It's not game-breaking, but a little annoying...

DS #4506: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (USA)

Nevermind, figured it out. Damn, I feel stupid. See, I had extracted the .sav file into my card's directory, but I had forgotten to rename it. Instead, I mistook the bogus .sav file MY flashcard created for it, and of course had the same name. Works great now.

DS #4506: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (USA)

I can't get that save file to work. I've been using Quick Time Save up until where you get the sword, and I can't get it to save normally. The .save and .nds files are both have the same name, but I Quick Time load my game, save normally, and when I restart the game, it gives me a "Creating a...

DS #4506: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (USA)

Okay. To you and TO ALL OTHER CYCLO USERS, to get around this you have to use the Real Time Save function. It's like a save state on an emulator. It requires a few extra MB of space though, but the patched file should clear up some room. When you boot up the game, hold Select and then hit...

DS #4162: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (USA)

The patched version doesn't work on my CycloDS running firmware 1.55. How can I get the actual cheat code in my game so I can just use that instead of this patch?

Hacking Good cart to buy for non tech-savvy people? Also, updates.

So I'm trying to reccomend a flashcart to someone I know, but they're not very technically inclined at all. At first I was thinking R4 because it's cheaper, but then I realized that R4 doesn't update anymore, so newer games might not work. So would this be a good flash cart? As long as it has...

Hacking CycloDS refuses to update to 1.54

Root is the folder you get right when you select the storage device, right? Before opening any subfolders? That's where it is...nothing. What else do I have to do to get it to update? I did everything the readme said to do, renamed it to update.evo, put it in the right folder, and nothing's...

Hacking CycloDS refuses to update to 1.54

It's already version 1.53, and the file for the next update is sitting in the main folder, but when I boot it up nothing happens. What's the problem?

Homebrew Graphing Calculator app for DS?

I recently lost my graphing calculator, which I need for school. In an act of desparation, I did a quick google search to see if there are any calculators that I can put on my flash cart, and to my surprise, there were! So I ask anyone who knows about these things: which one's the best?

Gaming Chrono Trigger DS help on CycloDS

Also sorry if this isn't the right place to ask. I'm aware that CTDS has some sort of new protection in it that causes it to not work...well, I put it on my CycloDS anyways and it seemed to work fine...until I got to the very first timehole in the Millennial Fair, which causes the time warp...

Homebrew Where to find nesDS and jEnesis?

The jEnisis thing kind of sucks, but I'd take music and speed over an enlarged screen any day.
