Technically, the R4 is on the same tier as the new bargain carts. You get what you pay for.

I got 5 R4's from Winsunx when they first came out, and it's definitely been the best investment I ever made in terms of fun and value for money.
In fact I owe all my fortune and success with women to the R4.
Long after all the carts are dead and buried, or their developers are busy with the latest thing I'll be finishing Zelda and all the other games! (On a R4!)
PS- The funny thing is I had the latest firmware and roms etc from the second they came out, but am only now going to put them on the Kingston microSD, because patience is a virtue.
