Licks Media Player Alpha2 Released

iPod style media player

Lick's iPod inspired media player has been resurrected from the grave and released in a fully usable form. A programmer by the name of Lucas picked up the project and completely re-wrote the application, including adding DLDI support.

I liked Licks Media Player (ipod-like player) very much, but unfortunately it was discontinued :-(

So... I just decided to finish it ;-). In the end, it became a complete rewrite. No more C++, only pure C. At ths time, I only have some basic functionality, WAV playback (files must end in .wav) and libmad playback (files must end in .mp3).

This is only an early alpha release so the author warns there may be a few bugs and only basic functionality. At the moment sound quality is no where near the quality of Moonshell so expect to only be using this release for testing purposes.

If Lucas is reading here are some bug reports:
-Annoying flickering sprites can be seen
-In a song that has a foreign character such as "à", the word after stays stuck on the screen forever...
-Closing the DS does not put it into sleep mode.
Thats all!
Now for the good part^^:
I love this player, if all the bugs get corrected I'll use this instead of Moonshell!

Great project!!
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on the m3 simply.
I patched it using the r4-dldi, but it freezes on the main screen saying "startup"...
Anyone managed to get it working on a m3 simply?
