With this one it depends on what game you want to use. I'm gonna use 007 Agent Under Fire, as it seems to give the best results.

For Slims: This video will show you how to block the senors so that you can swap disc.

All Credit for the video goes to gamedexterity.

For Fats: You just need a credit card (or gift card), cut it to make a slide tool, take the faceplate off of the disk drive (it pops on and off), and use the tool to quickly swap the discs.

You can also take apart your PS2 Fat. In which you just take out the magnet, take out the disc, put in the backup and replace the magnet.

Step 1: Make an iso out of the game.

Step 2: Rename the BOOT.elf from the ulaunchelf rar and rename it to DRIVING.ELF.

Step 3: Start up Apache and use it to open the iso.

Step 4: Click on other DRIVING.elf in Apache.

Step 5: Go to the top and select the tab "ISO Tools" and then select "Change TOC for Selected File"

Step 6: Change the size "dec" to 915196.

Step 7: Click out of it and go back to "ISO Tools" and then select "Update Selected File"

Step 8: Go to the file you renamed update the original.

Step 9: Burn the modified ISO to a DVD

Step 10: Put in the game and USB Stick with the FMCB files.

Step 11: Play until level two and go back to the main menu.

Step 12: Quickly replace the disc with the backup.

Step 13: Go back to Level 2 and start it. It should start up ulaunchelf.

Step 14: ulanuchelf will start up, press O to go into the FileBrowser menu.

Step 15: Select mass, that is your USB.

Step 16: Select FREE_MCBOOT.ELF on the next screen and the installer will start. Install FMCB from there.

Step 2: Connect your HDD and Install the ISO using WinHIIP (If you don't know how, read this guide on how to use WinHIIP.)

Step 3: Download FMCB and install the contents into the root of your USB.

Step 4: Put in your HDD, USB, Memory Card and your copy of HDL or HDA and start up the PS2.

I actually had problems with it at first. It the Usb extreme program wouldn't read my drive. Turns out I had to put them on my computer's HDD and then transfer them to the usb stick.

And thanks for the vids.

I tried it with Snake Eater, but it always either freezes or goes to the red error screen...
Yeah, that can happen. I thought NightFire would work, but nope, nothing. I got Agent Under Fire and it worked perfectly. I recommend it for doing the swap method.

no, its just that there is no category for that. Not that we don't want to have such tutorials on the 'temp, it's just that we don't have enough prizes to cover everything.
The last category of the competition is for alternative consoles like the Dingoo A320, A330, the GP2X, Wiz, Canoo, etc.
but it's not for "others" or "pc" or "oldies".

As far as I know, PS2 isn't allowed.

Your guide will be useful though if I ever get my PS2 repaired. (which I probably won't do in the foreseeable future)

Hmm, I'll shoot him a pm and ask.

theres actually another method via hd loader
I know of that method, but I've looked and cannot find a retail hd loader or advance disc anywhere for sale. So I didn't include it. If you can find one, I'll happily add it.

WRONG!

You don't need to take apart the phat in order to pull this off. You just need a credit card (or gift card), cut it to make a slide tool, take the faceplate off of the disk drive (it pops on and off), and use the tool to quickly swap the discs.

You shouldn't be writing a FAQ if you don't know what you're talking about.

I do know what I'm talking about. It works either way.

I'll replace it with that if it makes you happy...

Sorry if I'm not a know it all.

He's not wrong. It's just an alternative method of doing it. You should edit in, because the magnet method can be hard to handle for people that are unsure about it. It's also pretty easy to mess up your PS2 if you make a mistake - and that's from personal experience xD.

Well, Costello said that PS2 is not allowed, but he said that "you posted in the right section as far as I'm concerned", so this guide can stay up, I guess.

I know, but I mean for other people. Do you expect a lot of people to still have the disc? And for the people who don't have them, they can't buy them.

If people really want it, I'll add it.
