Is this the honest-to-goodness iPhone 4 jailbreak we've been waiting for, or just another userland JB? It's hard to say from here... but either way, don't expect Geohot to release it into the wild. In a mildly jaded blog post, the original iPhone hacker makes it clear that whatever he did here was for his own amusement, and judging by the title of that entry ("Meh") the whole breaking-and-entering bit isn't giving him quite the same chuckles it used to. That's a shame, but we hear the iPhone Dev Team is making progress apace, so let's leave Geohot to tackle one of his other promised hacks, mmmkay? [/p]

I could care less about him. Thanks to him, sony managed to find an excuse for taking out otherOS from ps3 :l . Seriously.
 
This Geohot is a legend when it comes to hacking. He hacks all that he gets his hands on, including all iOS devices, pissing off Apple, and by not releasing this jailbreak, he is also pissing us off.
 
he has already pissed off tons of people by not releasing ps3 cfw and the main cause of why otherOS was removed
and now he doing the same crap with the iphone 4 I see

Anyways, that Geohot guy might just be lying. Even if he did hack the IPhone 4, who cares? Somebody will get to it themselves. Just don't envy him, and you'll be fine, just like I am xD

Also, geohot has actually done a lot more than just the PS3 he's "famous" for. He's actually behind a ton of existing, working, released hacked beforehand (which is why people that know more than sony shit believe him about the PS3)

The fact that he's complaining about no custom firmware release and won't update because of it, makes me doubt that he would continue with that if given the chance.

Of course it does, who uses a custom firmware for anything but pirating games. And if he was so happy about buying games at all why would he get so worked up over it?
