Anyways, I got the game last night and was sleepy so opened it a few hours ago.
The pokewalker is pretty cool and I currently am:
Name:Silver

Badges:1
Team:Quilava:Lv16, Pidgey:Lv4(Ill give her training in a few hours), Egg

Good game so far

This game's great so far, and I heard that you can get a 3rd gen starter if you progress far enough. Dunno if it's true, but if it's true... MUDKIPZZZ!!
 
Just traded my Bellsprout for the Onix named Rocky, Got a level 12 Cyndaquil, but spending time on my Level 7 Onix for my first gym.
Playing on an official Acekard 2i with 1.6 RC, not one crash played for two hours.

what's ironic is my last name is actually, Rock. Also, how would i send over my pikachu coloured pichu to HG
 
Where exactly do you go to trade/battle over wifi? I can't seem to find it.
I went to the top part of a poke center and talk to the 3rd lady but when I connect the DS Wirelessly, it shows my connection bar at 0 and it doesn't find anyone. Is wifi not available until the game actually releases or am I doing something wrong?
 
ah okay thanks! I haven't played a pokemon game since the original gold/silver back in 2000 so I don't know much about all these new features.
 
Hey everyone, just want to ask something. I have a save file for the Japanese version of SS. I have a save file from the ROM patched with Raqib's translation patch. Can I use my save file for the (U) version without risking the save file?
 
I'm loving the redesigned gyms. Solving the puzzle (simple though it was) was fun in Bugsy's gym

So far my team (the ones I actually use) are my Croconaw and Flaafy both lvl 20. Feraligatr and Apmharos are two of my favorite pokemon
 
I don't understand, this game doesn't come out until Sunday, yet I see a bunch of people all saying that they already have it. How do you guys get retail games so soon?

It's not like every store is in the same city, so nintendo sends out the game to stores usually a week or more in advance so they can be sure that every store has it to sell by the release date, and some stores think "Well I have this product already, why not sell it now?", or an employee won't know about the release date and accidentally sell a few copies earlier.


Anyways.

The whole "following an NPC" music HAD THE MELODY REMOVED.
THAT MAKES ME A SAD RYDIAN.
THAT MELODY WAS THE STUFF UNICORN BABIES AND FLUFFY KITTENS ARE MADE OUT OF.
GODDAMNIT IT GIVE ME MY MELODY BACK!
 
Is there a way to get all three starting pokemon not using the wifi system? How would I go about getting all three starting pokemon if I have two carts and ds's?

There's no way unless you trade them from one of the two carts
 
Quick questions as I want to get into competitive pokemon battles:

Does the gender affect anything besides breeding?

Does evolving a pokemon later than its usual level (main reason is to get the attacks faster) affect its stats in any way on the run?

As far as I'm aware no, the stats are a combination of base stats, IVs (DVs), EVs, and it's nature, none of those change depending on what level something was evolved at.
 
Another question:

I'm lazy to level up some pokemons. Is there any advantage/disadvantage letting the daycare level it up for me? Is it faster this way? Will they delete attacks when new ones become available at a certain level - if so, which ones?

I know stats will probably be affected in some ways (IV or EV forgot which one as they're not leveling off pokemons). Anything else?
