First download EASEUS Partition Master
http://www.easeus-software.com/download/epm.zip
Extract the contents of
epm.zip and run
EMPSetup.exe
Install EASEUS Partition Master and run the program.
Here you will see any Hard Drives connected to your computer.
* This program does not detect removeable storage.
Disk 1 should be your main drive which is mostly likely drive C:
Disk 2 should be your hard drive if no other drives are connected.
What your trying to accomplish with this program is to divide your drive to whatever size partitions you want so you can be left with an
unallocated space you can then format to WBFS.
I am going to divide my 465.5gb fat32 portion into and 365.5gb and be left with 100gb of unallocated space.
1]
Right click the drive you want to partition and choose
Resize/Move.
You should now see a Resize/Move Partition window pop up.
The partition size is the whole size of your drive in Megabytes [MB].
Here you must use the
arrows to decide how big your
WBFS drive will be.
Notice how when you move the arrows around, the
Unallocated Space After box changes. This will be the size of you WBFS drive.
You can either use the whole drive as WBFS but if you ever decide to partition it again, you must erase the whole drive and start over, so i recommend
leave at least 1gb of a fat32 partition.
You can use this GB to MB tool
http://www.convertunits.com/from/GB/to/MB to find out how much MB you should set it your
Unallocated Space After to.
So in my case, I will set it my
Unallocated Space After to 102400 MB.
2]
Choose the amount of your [/b]Unallocated Space After[/b] space and press
OK.
3]You should now see your drive as a smaller size and a new Unallocated * drive underneath it. When you are satisfied with the size of your soon to be WBFS drive,
press apply down on the bottom left.
4]Then
press yes to apply the changes.
This should be quick or take a while, depending on your drive and computer and whatnot.
After it finishes;
5] Go to
My Computer and
right-click to select
manage.
6] Click on
Disk Management towards the bottom left.
Here you should see your connected
disk drives again, with the
unallocated space there.
7]
Right Click the
unallocated space and choose
new partition
8] Click
next and choose
primary partition
9] Leave the
partition size at the
maximum.
10]
Choose whatever letter drive you want to assign your WBFS device to. I always choose
W when I can but any letter is fine.
11] Choose
Do not Format this Partition then click on
finish.
After this your drive should be ready to go with any WBFS manager out there that has a built in WBFS formatter. Just choose your letter drive you created in Step 10.
I personally use AlexDP’s WBFS Manage but any manager should get the job done.
