Hi there.
It seems that the Iplayer has his 1.4 fix. This update can be done even if the DSi is already in 1.4 but it's a little risky.

Here is a quote from iplayer website :

iPlayer OS v1.1 & firmware v1.0

Readme:

1. Upgrade iPlayer firmware support NDSi firmware 1.4
[Very Important for NDSi v1.4:]
If the NDSi firmware is v1.4, Please copy the upgrade firm into MicroSD. When NDSi screen display
" An error has occurred
Press and hold the POWER
Button to turn the system off
Please refer to the Nintendo DSi
Operations Manual for details."
*When this message displayed, please wait 2 mins, iPlayer is upgrading. (If turn off power at this moment, iPlayer will dead).
*After 2 mins, iPlayer is upgraded.

2. Added extra movie subtitle.
3. Added plugin for iPlayer CPU homebrew.

After reading other ppl already tsted the 1.4 DSi upgrad posibility of the iPlayer (taking 2 minutes)
i just used my DSLite to update, took only a few seconds (like 5 seconds)

Updated Iplayer Firmware from v1.03 to v1.05.

5 seconds or 2 minutes ... you know as well as I do ...WHO CARES HOW LONG IT TAKES so long as it works

but its nice to know it works using either DSi or DS PHAT/LITE

It's probably safer doing it on DS PHAT or LITE but then not everyone has access to both!
