Broken Circle
NEW GBA Homebrew?

Broken Circle is a professionally designed turn-based RPG for the GBA. 7 Raven Studios won a contract to develop this game. When it was ready, the company who had issued the contract backed out. As the GBA has reached the end of its development cycle, 7 Raven Studios decided to release the game for free. Can this really be called homebrew?

Nice to see this released, sounds like GBAware service would of helped this game.

That looks pretty sweet. Well both of those games, will give them a try. Shame for the companies though.

I'm surprised they couldn't just release it for the NDS, the way some other late-era GBA games were released for the NDS...

Cool of them to release it for free either way, though.

HI,

thanks a lot for all the nice comment and i really hope everybody like it...

I want answer on why we haven't ported it on DS and is simple, we was so depressed to know after long time of hard work that the game never seen the light to chose just to move on different thing.. For a DS game the quality was poor also for the cut the old publisher ask us to make... The original was thought with a lot of more colors and with a size of 256mbits , the rom released is 64mbits... We are thinking to make a new version for DS but at the moment we are busy with another game.

Thanks again for all nice comments...

I also recall a 2d shooter from a developer in a similar position,

Back on topic though always good to see another GBA RPG, one made from scratch no less.

That's just sad when a publisher ask to lower-rate a project instead of making it better

I don't like censorship, it's a little the same thing here.

I hope you will have better chance with your new game.

Well, it seems good considering, but isometric perspective... Eww!
Isometric has got to be worst thing they've ever invented for games.
The worst thing intuitively.

Does anyone have a list of other games that have released in this manor? I remember some very old Chinese games coming out years ago when the GBA was still new that ran on emulators.
