Here is a wad file I made for the USB Loader GX v1.0 By dimok, nIxx, cyrex, hungip, giantpune, Neorame, wiishizzza and ardi
ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE LOADER AND HOW TO USE IT CAN ALL BE DIRECTED HERE:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=149922

Since they made an official release I figured I would make a wad for it!
Thanks to adam_the_1st for this great theme!

Some changes I made:
Removed the option to go back to the HBC because its not needed since this is a wad.
Replaced menu music with better music.
Set default video setting to System Default instead of Disc Default.

Any chance you can release this as a forwarder? I'd rather just change the dol on my SD card instead of reinstalling a WAD.

having a return error return 1035 only on this anybody else havin this problem

with the wad manager uninstall this wad and then reinstall again. you are getting an error because the manager thinks you already have a wad installed with the Unique Title ID of USBL.

This layout looks great, thanks! But IMHO the "Wii" button looks cheap, because the font-size is too big. It's too close to the blue border.

Also, does this layout require extra files or a settings file? Or is it somehow stored in the WAD?

Thanks, but to each their own, i guess!
This layout only requirements that you need to have the cover images and dvd covers stored on your sd card like this:

-cover images need to have dimensions which is a multiple of 4 and must be place in SDRoot:/images/

-DVD covers image need a resolution of 160x160 and must be placed in SDRoot:/images/disc/

you can get the box art or dvd covers from here:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=150...=0#entry1923363
or here:
http://www.theotherzone.com/wii/
or you can download them with this usb loader!

I was referring to the black background image. the original is white, at least before v 1.0? So does it come with the wad file?

the black background is my personal setting for this release, so is menu music and I set the default video setting to System Default instead of Disc Default and removed the option to go back to the HBC because its not needed since this is a wad

In the first post of this thread you can download a wad file for this or you can download the dol and us a forwarder!

@raptor: Thanks very much for your effort. It's nice to see someone caring about simple questions, because no one can read like 244 pages of the loader thread

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
