Scrubbing is a process to downsize ISO's to very small sizes when packing it with winRAR or winZip.
Now the size of ISO's on torrents size are 1.5 GB to 3 GB and you can download it over a night even on small speeds (50kb/s).

Some scrubbed ISO's don't work if you just burn it.
So I'm posting a my tutorial to Unscrubb and burn scrubbed images.
Here it's goes:

My unscrubbing (uncompressing) tutorial
biggrin.gif

To unscrubb (uncompress) this image follow my tutorial:
1.Extract the gamename.rar with winRAR or winZIP, you will get the isoname(compress).iso
(compress means its scrubbed)
2.Download WiiScrubber:
http://www.coderetard.com/2008/08/05/wii-i...-final-release/
3.Start MakeKeyBin.exe, then enter value 42 and press Generate(this will create key.bin)
4.Start WIIScrubber.exe, press load ISO and open(point him) to the isoname(compress).iso, on the save options choose diff and press Scrub, and then point the program to the directory where you want to save that file and press save.
5.When this is done press the Unscrub Image button, then first choose the scrubbed file (isoname(compress).iso), and then choose the dif file (isoname(compress).dif), and then point the program to the directory where you want to save that file, choose the name, and press save.
6.When this is done you will get your uncopressed iso file.
Now you must burn it to DVD-R (I recommend Nero (I use Nero 8 myself) go to Nero Burning ROM, choose the DVD, not CD and choose DVD-ROM (ISO) - ( you don't need DVD-ROM, the DVD-R is enough) then choose Open and choose the unscrubbed ISO (however-you-called-your-unscrubbed-ISO.iso), choose the slovest speed 4x recommended and choose to validate the image after burning(no future writing).
If you don't have Nero you can use some else program (ImgBurn recommended - http://www.imgburn.com/ )
7.When it is done, go and put the game into your Wii and enjoy.

Hope this will help,

If you mean uncompressing the image from its scrubbed form, I usually just uncompress the old fashioned way with WinRAR and it gives the standard old 4.7 GB iso image.

I mean, just saying.

Some scrubbed (compressed) images won't work if you just burn it on DVD.
When i downloaded Mario Kart (2.9 gb) and Sam & Max Wii (1.87 gb), i extracted it with winRAR, I got the stardand ISO(4.7 gb).
Then I burned it with Nero , and inserted in Wii and the games didn't worked.

Maybe this is the case just with this two games, I don't know, im just saying

Never heared of this issue before, which method of launching do you use ? (modchip, softmod,..?)

I've downloaded both scrubbed versions (maybe you can post the version numbers) and they both works fine on either Wiikey or Wiikey2.
(Used Verbatim 16x DVD-R media and burned at 4x in an crappy LG burner. I recommend using IMGBURN 2.4.2.0 - had no problems with it so far)

Scrubbing games doesn't make any difference to whether they work. There's something else wrong.

As supagusti says, use Imgburn, not Nero.

Scrubbed games have no difference at all except the garbage data is replaces with 1's and 0's. None of that stuff ever gets read when a play the game. Have you tried bruning them again to see if they work?

some of the best selling games on the switch are wii u ports (that are priced way too high

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles

especially Nintendo because they only ever lower the price of games when they do a greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice re-release

@The Real Jdbye, and the HD collections released for 7th gen consoles too
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:

@The Real Jdbye, tbh the HD collections are more justified since they include more than just 1 game per copy
