Question, how do you get the rsf file for cia generation?

that's a visual c++ redistributable dll iirc. you need to download it. don't just download the dlls from some random place or person. you need to install the correct series of libraries.

I have Visual Studio installed previously, but I couldn't find '2015' version so instead '2017' was also installed. I searched in Visual Studios and found what I thought could fix these errors, but it came to about 11GB I think. I've installed some unnecessary files from visual studio, but the errors are gone. I'm unsure if finding these two files mentioned in the error and then removing the extra installs will cause errors for me later.

Like as in the errors are gone? Yeah, I don't get them anymore, so I'm guessing the cia rebuilding worked. I just can't get the CIA playable though. Trying to undubb a few games I'd really like Japanes audio with.

playable from what? makerom might be helpful. it's used by devs to make cia formatted apps. I think you can have a cxi or an elf along with a banner.bnr and icon.icn. you can build the later two with png files, and a wav formatted sound for the bnr.

I'm still largely a noob at cia creation myself, so I can't help much with whatever problem you're faced with.

When I replace 'voice' folders and movie 'folders' with their Japanese counterpart.

For people trying to rebuild CIA and are getting the makerom error, download the most recent version of makerom from github and replace the one in the folder. it fixed my problem. seems like the issue is that the makerom exe provided straight up is broken.

I'm trying to rebuild a CIA of Fire Emblem Awakening with some mods and I'm also getting an error about ucrtbased.dll and VCRUNTIME140D.dll being missing. I tried to uninstall some version of Visual Studio and install the 2015 one with these files but still get this error. Do I need to just uninstall all of them except that version or something else?

EDIT: I reinstalled some versions of VS and now only get the latter error, I'll try using V9 to rebuild and see what happens.

How can i rebuild a CXI file? The command "CXI rebuild" is not avaible and it aparently doesnt work with the other options...

So is it posible or is there a way to rebuild an edited .CXI file? I thinks its weird that the program let you extract it and edit it aswell but not letting you rebuild it for playing.

I do not know, never used it. I know how to make a cia, but not cxi to cia.

Makerom might be able to do it though.
