Good Morning.:)

A Question about the (outdated) TWiLight Updater/ TWiLight Boxart / Game Covers please.
For the DSi and original 3DS it is very simple - remove the SD Card and run the Boxart Tool on the PC.

For the New3DS there is not really an Cover Download Option except that from the outdated TWiLight Updater Version from @KirovAir ,is this correct @RocketRobz ?

Thank you.:)

Yes, that is correct, although the PC box art tool can be used for New3DS as well.

.. the PC box art tool can be used for New3DS as well.
You know...that Thing with that "Backplate" and....:P
I do not really know any other Option like manually upload per FTP....

Is there any Chance for other Covers in the Future...?
I guess no,because of no other Database,I presume....😢

Would it be possible to change the button combination to return Twilight menu when starting a game? The R button ails a lot on my console and sometimes I get horribly desperate.

You can return to TWLMenu++ via nds-bootstrap's in-game menu as well, which is opened by L+Down+Select. The button combo for that can be changed in TWLMenu++ Settings.

NO!!!!!!! I DONT WANT TO INSTALL TWILIGHT MENU ON MY DSi JUST TO HOMEBREW IT!!!!! > : (

I WANT A DSi HOMEBREW CHANNEL TO BE INSTALLED ON NORMAL DSi FIRMWARE, NOT THAT!!!!
Why don't you want to install TWiLight Menu++?
It can launch homebrew, and also includes a homebrew channel/launcher theme.

Also, the only thing that can be installed to the console itself is Unlaunch. TWiLight Menu++ is only run from the SD card.

uhh, calm down lol

TWiLight Menu++ is generally the best homebrew menu for DSi, but there's a few other options:
  • Just Unlaunch, it has a menu for loading homebrew and DSiWare
  • devkitPro's HBMenu, it's very limited but for what it is it works decently
  • GodMode9i is mainly intended as a file manager, but also works as a homebrew menu, about as well as HBMenu at least
  • NTM to install to the SysNAND or hiyaCFW DSi Menus
    • You can even install TWiLight Menu++ to the DSi Menu this way and have the DSi Menu as your default menu and only load TWiLight for homebrew things

v25.4.0: Canadian Thanksgiving 10/10 Release
Includes nds-bootstrap v0.65.0 (GBATemp thread)
UPDATE 10/11/2022: nds-bootstrap v0.65.1 is now included

What's new?

  • FastVideoDSPlayer (by @Gericom) is now bundled! Play videos as high as 60FPS on DSi, 30FPS on DS, and with any length!
    • See this page for more information, as well as how to convert a video.
  • Added logging! Open `sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/log.txt` to see what TWLMenu++ has printed out while it was running a certain theme.
    • Only very minimal information is printed out for now.
  • nds-bootstrap pre-load settings are now bundled!
  • @Pk11: Added extension blocking INI-only setting. (#2061)
  • Box art is now turned off by default for first-time users.

Improvement

  • @Pk11 and various: Improved translations.

Bug fixes

  • Fixes a bug which caused DSi-based themes to crash on white screens during font loading, when running on CycloDS iEvolution in DSi mode.
  • DSiWare booter per-game setting is no longer ignored when booting Last-run ROM.
  • Fixed where pressing A, X, or Y would not work in DSi-based themes with box art turned off, if Left or Right aren't pressed on D-Pad.
  • Loading screen is no longer shown when skipping to the end of a page in DSi-based themes.
  • Fixed touch frame delay.

Thanks, been a while since last update, and updates are basically all my hacked systems are used for, kinda missed it. ;)

Am thinking of buying a new 3ds xl as I have an itch to play a lot of Nintendo games. I remember trying this program years ago and it was hit and miss compatibility wise. With all the updates since then, does this now negate the need for a separate ds flash card for playing ds games?
