RA-Sega has ...
Genesis Plus GX Wide
PicoDrive
SMSPlus

SS-Sega has ...
GX
GX Wide
GX Fast

Basically, SS-Sega was re-added because the GX core supports CHD format for CD games and the RA-Wide core has issues with CD games.

Using the Hexaeco NEO VM core, there are some games that boot the 4.0 BIOS and many that boot the 3.2 BIOS.
By the way, has anyone loaded successfully UNIBIOS 4.0 with any game?

For my own, whatever the game, even if I have included UNIBIOS 4.0 set in my neogeo.zip file along with other UNIBIOS versions (3.1, 3.2, etc), the fba2012_neogeo_vm Hexaeco core keeps using UNIBIOS 3.2 version. Have I missed something?

Yes, the UNIBIOS 4.0 works with Hexaeco. Finding the correct BIOS 4.0 can be difficult and using the BIOS i manually upgraded to 4.0 didn't work either. I did find the solution though.

Retroarch updated to version 1.11.0
https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/blob/master/CHANGES.md
Anyplan to update RA-RetroArch Modified?
I have been testing 1.11.0 and it seems like it is hit/miss.

Some of the updated cores have added features and work well, while other cores are unstable in my testing.

I will update after testing is complete. I have found nightly 08-31-22 (1.10.3) has good compatibility on some updated core features that (1.11.0) lacks stability.

It will be a mish mash of what i believe are the best/most stable cores from (1.10.2 - 1.11.0)...
FCEUmm 08-31-22 has nice update
Gambatte 1.11.0 has nice update
PCE SGFX will downgrade to 1.10.2

Ill have the updates up tonight or tomorrow.

1.11.1 updates are up.

You will notice all cores updated show version 1.11.0 but can assure you they are indeed from 1.11.1.

If you experience code dumps and/or crashes, please post. I tested all emulator/cores but not all thoroughly, so it is very possible there will be some instability.

Hi, I discovered and absolutely love RA-HEXAECO for running Outrun via Cannonball on my Wii.
Any chance to get a Cannonball dedicated forwarder?
Thanks.

I guess it depends on how you set up the aspect ratios. RA can use Overlays, and in the past, some of us used them for SGB borders. I guess you could use them in the same way, with some trial and error.

With newer versions of RA, i haven't been able to get them to work, but Hexaeco cores use overlays/bezels just fine. The Hexaeco Mods i released just about all come with overlays/bezels and the Vectrex Mod has overlays already preconfigured if you are interested in that

The wii uses a resolution 640x480 (or 720x480 depending on how you want to look at it) and can also use 320x240. Wii U's vWii mode is still 480, but it looks worse than an original Wii because of the overscan issues that are rather infamous. RetroArch's overlay settings let you to stretch the overlays if you need to, which I guess can help.

I'd check RunningSnakes' work and see if the bezels he has done can be used as a guide to make yours.
