@Alexander1970 Can't recreate your issue. Make sure your LAN cable is good (CAT >= what your network needs, shielded, ...), please.

but wifi is stable
Wifi isn't stable but even if it where a cable connection is always preferred. Why? Well:
  • Cable is always faster
  • Rount trip time
  • Other WiFi networks interferring with yours
  • ...

Hi,
i always got the error 150-3030 and it was gone after deleting all installed apps from the wii u internal memory. No idea why. Tiramisu was always booting fine. The error should be related to a write protected sd card (from google) but nether an sd card change, formatting or recopying the files helped. The japanese nintendo help site states that it could be an error with an connected device, but i had no usb device connected. Hope it helps someone.
Thanks for the work!

Maybe check if you have free space on the sd card?

Boot the console without the sd card, go to Mii Maker, insert the SD Card and export a Mii to the SD Card. This should give you a more specific reason why writing to your SD Card fails.

There is nothing really Aroma can do about this, because this is a hardware issue that also happens without aroma. Aroma just requires write access to the sd card to function properly, and throws this error if writing fails. Try to change the sd card, the adapter, try to clean the sd slot carefully

The sd card had at least 6gb free and the internal storage more then 100mb. I solved it by deleting all the internal apps, no idea why that helped. Tiramisu and no sd card was always booting fine. I did not even reformat the sd card which generated that error. No clue what was going on.

Did you tried tape trick for SD card lock latch?
I have this issue sometime with multiple sd card adapter then I found the lock latch not too loose but it easy to change the position when put into the wii u card reader slot. Used thin tape to prevent it sliding then I never got the issue again.

All the NA games can run in English now instead of being forced into Japanese version or not being able to boot up at all on my Japanese wii u.
That's the feature I am most interested in. I've sold my Japanese Wii U a few months ago because having to deal with the files and region of every single game, without any guarantee that the game will actually work, was a pain.
Maybe with aroma it is time to start searching again for that 32GB japan exclusive white model.

So does Aroma fix the following?

1. Corrupted image on gamepad on turn on of Wii U
2. Wii mode shortcut no longer working like before (Needs specific timing to work)

Didn't like 1 and 2 on my backup hacked Japanese wii u with tiramisu that I bought a few months ago.

When will you people start to realise that this is not a bug but a feature? You have a god damn visual confirmation if booting with CFW or not... The devs reduced this screen to a minimum and called it "splash screen" months ago but this shitstorm still doesn't stop...

Then if they know people don't like it, they should let people use an alternative like atmosphere does or at least use a custom screen so that it doesn't look badly implemented

I haven't used that Wii U in months. I think it's the Wii U logo that has like some corruption on the gamepad screen like part of it is moved to the left or there's a line when you power on the wii u.
That's a deal breaker? Btw, you can create a forwarder to an app on the vwii from wiiu menu with boot2vwii. It's a very easy compile, just like one file.

Not really, for me booting to wii is a deal breaker. Yeah i can use a custom forwarder but holding b is just simpler. Worst case, maybe i'll just use the japanese wii u for wii mode only lol. But this wii u is a backup, so I can probably live with this compared to the region issues.

I don't know if holding b works with aroma.
I read it's the same as tiramisu, where it loads a menu instead to pick what to run after booting. So my assumption is you need to hold b after aroma has loaded to get to wii mode, which is probably hard to do since wrong timing leads to wii u's menu loading instead

If you playing mostly in wii mode, you can set vWii as default by holding start (+) button while booting, it allow to set default to boot into vWii and vWii HBL here - instruction is at the bottom of the screen with Y and X to clear and set default menu item.
When you need to go to Wii U temporarily, just holding start (+) and select Wii U without set it as default.
