Its a really good metaphor, enabling any kind of censorship is creating a ring of power, and you would be very stupid to assume that your side will always be the one holding it. Maybe when every single person you like to listen to is scrubbed from the internet, when every space where you could talk is taken offline, and you cannot express so much as the softest opinion or get banned, not because you're wrong, but because you're on the wrong side, maybe then you will understand just how wrong you were.
