ive heard the switch is a bit better but not as much better than the wii u
Im pretty sure its obvious the switch has better hardware but do you think the Wii U can run switch games and at what speed?

It honestly depends, my immediate answer is no simply because of the processing differences. The only way I could see that this would be feasible is if the Linux on Wii U scene advances to such a point that emulators can be run. But as it stands, it's barely enough to even install a desktop environment. Even then if it did get to that point in advancement, many other processes / resources would overwhelm the processor to the point you wouldn't be able to run anything faster than 2 FPS. So no I don't believe that it's feasible at this time.

The Switch in Portable Mode has similar HorsePower to the WiiU, so you can imagine that there isn't much more than the WiiU, except when on docked mode, then the Switch unleashes full processing, witch is higher than the WiiU.
If there wasnt archithetural differences, the Switch would be WiiU2, that would be Wii3, and Gamecube⁴ kkkk

Here is just a few reasons why it's impossible for the WiiU to ever be able to run Switch games at an acceptable level.

The Switch CPU is 2.15 x faster than the one in the WiiU. The Switch CPU is 4 x 2GHz vs the one in the WiiU at 3 3 x 1.24GHz

The Switch has 0.65 TFLOPS higher floating-point performance. 1 TFLOPS vs 0.35 TFLOPS of the WiiU.

The Switch has 2GB more RAM 4gb vs 2GB

The Switch has a 218MHz faster GPU clock speed. 768MHz vs 550MHz of the WiiU.

So no not gonna happen.

Not to mention the processing differences. Since the Wii U has a PPC processor and cant natively run games formatted for ARM on the Switch's OS it would need to emulate to play those games. And that alone on an actual device meant for emulation takes up most of the resources - so doing it on the Wii U would yield very disappointing results.

It can run Switch games that were originally written for the Wii U, but no, trying to make a Wii U emulate a Switch would be like trying to get a NES to play SNES.
Agreed, the only way I would see that this would be even remotely possible is via method A: emulation (which we know wont work) or B, if someone decided to rip open an existing Switch game and completely rewrite it to run on the Wii U. However I also doubt this would happen because the person trying to would either have to spend possible years doing this, or just run into a lawsuit. It wouldn't be worth it to even try.

It's legal to steal the whole state? I live in California and wouldn't be surprised. Anarchy is the only rule here these days.
I don't know, I'm just being a smart ass. :)

After watching all those videos of people just casually filling up their trash bags and walking out of the stores untouched; I couldn't help myself.
