Just tried to open the game and it said there was corrupted data:

I put my exosphere.ini at the / (root level). Didn’t know you could put it in /atmosphere/config/ I learn something new every day here on GBATemp.

Ok, I checked the source and documentation of atmosphere, and it seems its also only checking it in the root.
Since I never used its options myselft, I didn't notice it until now xD

Do you have a backup of your game save via Checkpoint or JKSV?

You might need to delete/reinstall the game and delete/import the game save.

I have all my saves backed up in a couple places. deleted the game and reinstalling now. it may take a while, but ill post an update once it's done

Fingers crossed your filesystem isn’t corrupted. What filesystem are you running? FAT32 or exfat?

I assume FAT32 but I’m not the one who initially set it up so I’m not sure

You can try this but Im not sure if it would solve your problem with 2155-8007,

Just want to thank you for this. I couldn't get Tinfoil to install at all, and nothing has helped me till this resource. Appreciate you!
