@fledge68 thank you for answering the recent emuNAND settings questions, it was very helpful.

I have a further question: Why is there no option in the individual Wiiware game settings to choose between Partial or Full emulation? Obviously Partial or Full can be set globally in 'NAND Emulation', but as far as I can tell, not per game?

And yes as you suggested it would make sense to move the emuNAND partition options together, and rename the 'Use Real Nand Config' and 'Use Real Nand Miis' settings to something like 'Copy in' or 'Import' instead of 'Use'.
I dont know. good question.

Hello, I wanted to ask because nothing new has appeared in the topic a long time ago, if and when can you expect the next Wiiflow release at the earliest? :D
There was an update just about 5 weeks ago, relax, the dude isn't a machine, lol

With latest version Hermes Cios are finally wokring, but whenever I try to play Just Dance Starlight which needs CIOS 222
from USB it starts successfully, but when I go back to wiiflow, USB drive is corrupted.
Something corrupts USB drive always when I use CIOS 222 and wiiflow, any ideas?

You don't even specify what you want in an update.
Just a new version #?

I've been gone for about 2 years and I'm stoked that this app is still active.
My grandbaby mama just started sharing games from her childhood with my 4 year old granddaughter. I decided to check in and see what's good.
wii is a perfect replacement for those ad-filled ipad games with the random violent/inappropriate content that has been getting slipped in by some malicious actor. wii gets her up and physical as well.
Thanks fam!

Hi @fledge68 I would like to suggest an enhancement for the already brilliant Wiiflow-Lite.

I would like the ability to be able to optionally use a second Wiiware/VC emuNAND. Ideally I would like to be able to choose the partition (USB, SD, etc) for each emuNAND , rather than them both simply being on the same partition.

This would help me considerably because I have a large 14gb Wiiware/VC emuNAND, and so I could split Wiiware games on one emuNAND, and VC games on another, to help with performance and to make them easier to view in Wiiflow.

One way of doing this would be allowing a 'source=emunand2' in the source_menu.ini file.
I guess the file could have additional lines to specify the partition, emuNAND name, and partial/full?
Or they could be in Wiiflow_lite.ini?
Or these additional settings could be added to the normal settings menus like this:
Emu NANDS Partition 2 - SD, USB1, etc.
Select NAND 2 - To select the emuNAND name.
NAND Emulation 2 - Either Partial or Full.
Or maybe you know a better way of doing it?

Anyway, please would you consider this for a future update? Many thanks! :D

It's not that big a pain to just switch paths to whatever emunand you want in the options menu. I have like 15 setup lol.

Hello, I was having an issue with DLC's while using WiiFlow and I was wondering if some of you could help me out. Thanks!

When playing a game from the HDD (the wbfs folder being located there) I can find the DLC contents and play them with no problem. However, when launching the same game from the SD card, the DLC's cannot be loaded. The DLC's are located on the same SD Card because they are huge (Just Dance series).

So, I guess that the problem has to be something about running both the game and DLC from the SD card, but I could not find any configuration or fix about it.

Post a syscheck
https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/

Your softmods are probably not up to date, you can resoftmod using modmii as if the wii were a virgin, or drag and drop your syscheck.csv onto modmii.exe and it will tell you what to do

The only other explanation would be bad rip or incompatible hdd

@fledge68 @RunningSnakes greetings where they are placed or what is the route for the covers of apps such as nintendont, retroarch etc.?
thank you. sorry my english

For Nintendont GameCube games, the covers should go in.....wiiflow/boxcovers (The same location as Wii covers go).

For Retroarch, with so many different cores/systems, the covers should be placed...
Example....

wiiflow/boxcovers/Nintendo/NES
wiiflow/boxcovers/Nintendo/SNES
wiiflow/boxcovers/Nintendo/GBA
wiiflow/boxcovers/Sega/Master System
wiiflow/boxcovers/Sega/Mega Drive
wiiflow/boxcovers/NEC/TG16
wiiflow/boxcovers/Amstrad/GX4000
wiiflow/boxcovers/Atari/Lynx
------------

The Plugins Pack has the folders already created in the boxcovers directory. You just simply drag/drop your image.png files in the appropriate folder.

Remember that the image.png files Must be named exactly what your roms/games are named including the extension...
Example....

Battle Of Olympus.zip
Battle Of Olympus.zip.png

Pokemon Tetris.min
Pokemon Tetris.min.png
-------------

GameCube games are the same as Wii/VC/WiiWare games regarding boxcovers identification. Their Game ID must be used and placed in wiiflow/boxcovers...
Example....

GM5E7D.png
MALE.png
WAAE.png
RWSE8P.png

Is it worth getting rid of all my HQCovers when I upgrade from 5.4.9 to the latest version, as I see that the default is now to download the lower quality covers? I have only just realised that the res. of the HQ covers is much larger than the max res. of the Wii (720x480), so there really is no point using them unless you wanted to zoom in and retain quality.

Was this changed to improve performance and out-of-memory problems?

I wouldn't get rid of them. I know it takes up more space, but after WFL scans and creates cache of 683kb per file. Then delete the images from SD/USB to free up space if you need it. I normally have HQ set to Off since it does drag scrolling, but turning it back to HQ every once in awhile is nice because there is definitely a difference in image quality especially in some of the newer cover sets released.

Is there any way or better practice with the files or anything that can speed up WFL loading times? Or is there something that can make it slower so should be avoided?
Thank you
This might make no difference but every once in a while or when you have 'finished' setting up WiiFlow with covers and whatnot and Wiiflow has generated the cache for all items, I would move the WiiFlow folder off the device and then move it back, such that all files end up on the device in a contiguous block.

Do you have the Wiiflow data folder on SD or USB? Wiiflow doesn't load slowly for me on USB.

Thank you, I'm gonna try this.
I'm on SD
@Muliro

Yes WFL booting through/with USB loads much faster as @NormalMisha reported. I think just like anything else, the more games, media, cache you have, the longer it takes WFL to scan at boot.
Thank you very much, I will try what he said
