awesome! someone actually made a port of this?! i remembered trying to create a DOS emulator forwarder with this game a year or so back lol
maybe you are confusing with the original game from 1996 for DOS and 3DO ? 
This ' Tsunami Edition / Saiki 'is a completely different thing ^^
We have used original game assets to build up a complete new game far superior in every aspect from the original, at least that's my opinion as the developer

The game mecanics have been inspired by games such Karnov, don't forget to look at the game Manual which is located into the zip archive as a pdf , or download it from the homepage.
It explains game modes and move list. (fatalities and so on)

Specific Switch version changes:
- Fixed all graphic glitches
- Analog controls + vibration support.
- Fixed minor issue with music tracks overlap.
And finally 2 Players mode (VS mode) is now available!
You can use a separate 2 joycons configuration or only 1 joycon (using pairs) by pressing '-' button.
