For hardware too though? I didn't pay attention with my Index controllers.

Just tested with the Index controllers in my basket and it does, to quote:
All prices include VAT where applicable

Although since you’re based in the US, I’d expect sales tax to be on top. In the UK VAT is usually included in listed prices, with exceptions to places like wholesalers or international like Aliexpress.

US- state taxes are separate..(had to pay over $20 in taxes)

Any of the issues people have been reporting or all good?
non so far... the fan is slightly noticeable but I was in a super quiet room. Once I was playing a game or a room with the tv/wife it was not noticeable. I just finished playing Desk Job.. and trying to add Roms and Repacks

The fan noise is the only thing I'm worried about as i want to use it in bed at night. I'm hoping there will be silent mods eventually.

It think it’s being blown way out of proportion.. it’s less then the switch on Max… but again it might be that my fan it’s working normal and other people are horrible but .. I was playing elden ring and the vol on less then half way I was not able to hear the fan at all

But I do have a small complaint.. the back has noticeable fingerprints… it’s bothering the shit out of me… lucky Amazon just delivered my screen protector and silicone case… fits super nice

Yeah you'd know almost immediately if you had the noisy fan. The quiet one makes a slightly audible "woosh" noise, the other makes a high-pitched whine. The whiny ones seem to be improperly manufactured for their purpose, as they use symmetrical blade spacing instead of asymmetrical.

Regardless, I'll live with it until replacements become available if I get the loud fan, assuming that's the only defect in the unit I receive. Covering the 5th and 6th top vent holes (middle ones) seems to be a temporary workaround to quiet the noise some as well.

Would be awesome if Noctua stepped in at some point :creep:
They've actually commented on this and said it's a possibility if enough people ask for it. They typically don't make these small form factor fans.

In any case, iFixIt is also working on stocking the quiet ones if possible.
