Hey there. I just hacked my switch and want to be as cautious as possible. My sysNAND is clean and my emuNAND is incognito. It seems that before I made NAND backups n whatnot, there was an update for Zelda, BOTW (owned as a game cartridge). How do I go about getting it updated on my emuNAND?

You will need to find the update .nsp for that game.

You can either dump it from your sysMMC with a homebrew app or you can go online to pirate the update then install it on emuMMC with your title manager of choice.

Yes, dumping it is bannable since it involves running CFW & homebrew on your sysMMC.

Well I also said you just can illegally download the update from the Internet then install it onto your emuMMC. This would keep your sysMMC clean.

There was one of these at one point. It was patched out.

Porting code between consoles is one thing, since they typically speak different languages underneath. Having the same vulnerability across the platforms (even in the same WebKit) is less likely due to the same thing, the various consoles are speaking different languages. You’re trying to exploit the underlying OS which is where they differ.

The switch is compartmentalized so an exploit in userland still requires additional exploits to piggy back off of in order exploit other areas. This is complicated even more so by ASLR.

Hope that makes sense while still keeping things ELIF. There are some better threads that go into way more detail in the main forums if you’d like to know more.

Do a search for sciresm or hexkyz they did a paper on how Switch works.

Like Binkinator said, find the update online in NSP format and install it that way.

I Dumped Mario odyssey from Cart and it needed an update to play like your Zelda does so i grabbed the file from a third party site.

I haven't played it other than checking the game out for a couple of mins but i downloaded Zelda Breath of the wind along with the update so its definitely out there

Yes, if you are already in Atmosphere but just need to update then you are in the right spot.

In your earlier post you state you have 11.0.1|AMS M.190|S. The S at the end indicates you are running CFW on Sysnand. It’s typically recommended to use an (E)munand Offline and only use your clean (S)ysnand Online. Unless you have a backup it will be hard to get your Sysnand clean.

Do you have a backup?,
Have you been using any of the following: 90DNS, Ingognito, Exosphere, DNS:mitm?
Are you interested in creating an Emunand for offline play (and brick protection for your Sysnand)?

Spacecraft update is for people with Mod Chip. Do you have a Mod Chip? If so, what kind?

I know if my switch is cracked, dont use Nintendo services, cause they can ban my console. But if i buy cracked switch with 32gb SD CARD. And then i buy 512GB SD CARD. How i can simply upgrade 32gb switch card to 512GB withouth lose jailbreak?

if you hack your V1 before you ship out your Game Carts you can simply dump the Carts with NXDumptool.

(jailbreak is Apple term)
Simply do a bit for bit copy of your small card to your larger card using a tool like MiniTool Partition Wizard to clone it. Once done go back into the tool and resize the FAT32 partition to include the rest of the drive and you should be good to go.

One more question, maybe I would factory reset my Switch because there are two user profiles on it from an old user who sold me the console and I cannot delete them, will factory reset delete the profiles, is that gonna cause me any problems with modification, I plan to hack it with "CFW Guides" section on rentry page. I checked and my Switch is unpatched so I could just pick Set up Atmosphere on SysNAND on Erista (Unpatched) or Set up Atmosphere with EmuNAND on Erista (Unpatched).

Emunand is an Emulated copy of your Sysnand. If for some reason you installed a package That contained brick-ware it would take out yiu emunand rather than your real Sysnand and it would be much easier to recover. Just make a new Emunand. This is a very rare scenario BTW but still something to consider.

You could remove the users individually or do a factory reset. Since it’s someone else’s stuff you probably don’t care so either way is fine.

Correct. I would recommend the last one Set up Atmosphere with EmuNAND on Erista (Unpatched) after you finish your system reset. Also make sure you do a backup of your Sysnand. Always always always make backups!
