Use the example file 'atmosphereconfig_templatesoverride_config.ini'.
After editing it, copy it to the 'atmosphere\config' folder.

1. is called a forwarder and you can create one with any icon, name, and nro path you want (even for calling a Retroarch game), or if you want to change the icon or name of a installed title, you add a file called "config.ini" inside a folder named with the game id inside the contents folder of atmosphére.

2. to change the Homewbrew launcher button modifier you need to edit the "override_config.ini" file on atmosphere/config folder, or use "hekate toolbox" (https://github.com/WerWolv/Hekate-Toolbox) is a old homebrew but still works and have a GUI for editing that file.

What is that?, you always need a payload injector, could be a software on a PC, on a Phone, or a device like RCM loader, R4s, Trinket like o chip-mod.

the "potentially patched" units are found on the wild and some are patches others not, and there is no other way to know if they are really patched besides to injecting a payload and test.

for the RCM Loader, you can get several alternatives, as mentioned, for unpatched units there is Rekado software for Android, TegraRCMGUI for windows, fusee-interfacee-tk for MAC/Linux, web-Payload for Chromebook; a RCM or R4s, even the one for SXOS or the NX-Atmosphere. or a trinket unit.

if the unit is patched, you need a mod-chip, no other way.

It is pretty simple you have 50% chances of it being unpatched and 50% of it being patched. If you want a guarantees one get an 100% unpatched one.

there is no other way, for years lots of people has been searching another entry point for Switch but no one has discevered one, and the big kahunas keep telling will no be any for the way the tablet is constructed so do not hold your breath waiting for another vulnerability. some especulate what will be one disclosed when the EOL for swicht comes but is a speculation.
