going to have to look elsewhere. Nobody here will be able to provide links to games.

Othello is out there. I’m certain of it.

We’re working to get Tinwoo installed. Please check your /switch/tinwoo/ directory. It should look something like this:

If you are installing with exosphere.ini configured properly and default.txt configured properly (see previous posts and the guide for what that looks like) it should be impossible for your switch to connect to Ninty and know that any game needs an update whatsoever.

Let’s pause for a moment and fix the fact that you are currently streaming data to Nintendo with your Prodinfo intact Before we go any further.

ok i try post all folders and files after this this for you to see

Did I miss one file log to post? How my files and folders?

Appreciated. We don’t need to see the /switc/tinwoo/ directory anymore. After rereading your post I see we’ve got that working.

Having Tinwoo working is actually good enough. Many people use it instead of Tinfoil. We can continue to get Tinfoil working though. No worries.

before we do anything else we absolutely need to see the contents AND location of the following:

exosphere.ini
default.txt

These are great! Thank you!

one more, please snapshot the directory where defaults.txt resides. You seem to have two defaults and I can’t tell which one has the wrong suffix.

also, can you please screenshot your System Settings? I want to make sure you’re booting into CFW/Emunand.

here’s mine (see the E) at the end…that’s what we want to see on yours)

so couple things here:

I believe you need to delete both files in your /atmosphere/hosts/ directory and the add a single file to that directory called default.txt. Make sure it’s not named defaults.txt.txt (as I believe is currently happening in the directory at the moment.) Place the following inside the new default.txt file:

Code:
127.0.0.1 *nintendo-europe.com
127.0.0.1 *nintendoswitch.*
95.216.149.205 *conntest.nintendowifi.net
95.216.149.205 *ctest.cdn.nintendo.net

your /bootloadet/hekate_ipl.ini file looks OK for now. Let’s get booted back up and get the screenshot of the Settings/System.

I see no reason to delete the first line.
My emunand
Looks like you are booting into E perfectly.

Lets do two more things to be sure.

1) Please check your system serial info (do not paste it here unless it’s zeroed out like this XAW0000000000) to make sure your Prodinfo is in fact being zeroed out.

2) Please install 90DNS tester: https://github.com/meganukebmp/Switch_90DNS_tester and post a screen shot of it running if it is anything BUT all green like you see in the readme.md.

Lets make sure you’re not leaking data to Ninty.

Once we’re sure you’re not leaking….don’t click here…please see post above….Go to Manage Data and delete the Tinfoil installation, go back to HB Menu in non-applet mode and reinstall Tinfoil from the .nro show in your second screenshot.

on your Windows machine go the /atmospher/hosts/ directory and at the the top of Windows Explorer window click View and select Details. This will show full extensions of your files. We will find the one that is default.txt and ensure it has the content we specified above.

Edit: you should also enable File Name Extensions in the same view window.

Hi everyone. I haven’t spoken in here for a LONG time and I’ve recently moved house, where my son dropped my switch beyond repair. I have decided to buy a new one and realised how much the scene has changed since I CFW’d mine so I’m hoping some nice people in here can answer a few questions. I have searched but there is so much to catch up on, I don’t want to head down the wrong rabbit hole.

I previously used an RCM loader with atmosphere on a day one switch. I was planning on getting another older one but finding one local with a suitable serial is proving difficult.

1. Regardless of serial number, can they all be modchipped now? So if I buy a cheap switch on eBay I can be sorted? I have experience soldering so even the oled chip doesn’t seem that bad. From a glance, the non-oled chip doesn’t look that much easier either. (Edit: I’ve bought an oled model since typing this, so this question is irrelevant)

2. When hwfly etc has been installed, is the rcmloader dongle still required to boot?

3. Does it still use a cfw the likes of atmosphere?
