you've missed out 5.05 buddy you can easily jailbreak without the need of usb
my pro once in 6.72 version before i decided to upgrade 9.00, no it's not perfect no exploit are perfect once a week you've got a KP no matter how good your exploit is, then i decided to upgrade it to 9.00 which i found better than 6.72 first you didn't need backport fix and second when your exploit failed you have a chance to restart the system and do the jailbreaking process all over again, it's almost 2 month i've been using 9.00 on my pro yet i rarely got kp after i changed its storage into SSD the major disadvantage is you need usb stick and usb hub with a power switch
it's funny or it is 9.00 bug if the exploit failed and didn't show any goldhen/dwbug on the setting but you can still playing games stored inside your ps4 hen which was locked before i run the exploit
I am not going to argue about your experience with 6.72. Did you try the one from Sleirsgoevy that is updated 12 days ago? Or better, can you let us know what host did you use for your 6.72 exploit?
Here is the exploit page data:
https://github.com/sleirsgoevy/ps4jb2/tree/83a3e516a65cfbe1e7ee08c2f59467ae06c10e48
The perfect exploit that is mentioned by
@Jayinem is most probably ps4jb2, which is released after 9.00 exploit release.
I am currently using Prb's host that has been updated with the exploit from Sleirsgoevy and it is stable enough for my use (turn on the console, run exploit, install games, play games, turn off, unplug the console). Heck, even Leeful v10 which is released months ago was also stable for me as long I do not rush to open the browser and launch the exploit.
I do agree that backport is a hassle. If you do not like backport, perhaps just go to 9.00. Also on 6.72 if you rush the exploit, it's an almost guaranteed system crash/KP.
Currently, staying on 6.72, just waiting for a better exploit that might exist in lower fws but might be patched in the newer fws. I also am not rushing to play newer games.
