Ok it worked for me
I had to short the gnd of the reader to gnd of the switch though
Why did you have to do this exactly? My connector on the main board completely came off, I'm looking to try and just solder it directly now to the reader instead of solder the connector back on. It's not broken, it just became seperated which I think was the issue in the first place.

Hey i have the GND pin missing right next to the #1 connector. Where exactly should i solder it from and to where? Iv been looking t the diagrams for over a week now and can't seem to figure it out :$

i dont think you even need ground pin replaced becuase that connector has like 4 grounds.

Hi

Can someone show me a pic of a working solder please.? Cant just not understand this capacitor between red and Green. Anyone have a picture from a real job thats working.

Regards Jonas

I’ve just done this repair on mine this evening, it all went fine. Wanted to get the connector replaced properly but no cash after Christmas, at least this will be solid until I can afford to get it done properly.

I chopped the ribbon off on the SD reader in about the same spot Tommy did further above and did the same soldering to the ribbon below the cap.

I found that the red connection to the cap is already there even with the ribbon cut off so you can ignore that part basically.

Hi, sorry to mention you, I know this is from over 3 years ago. I would like to know if the 7 connectors next to the pad, which contains a pair that in total were 14 connectors, are safe to connect. The publication that shows the cables, and is the only one that can see some soldering and not just a diagram, I see that it "successfully" mounts each pair of points. Is it correct to do so?
