The end goal is turning My Castle into something like Gareg Mach or SoV villages. Location changes between chapters, different shops, etc.

Full control over characters so you can configure who spawns (including NPCs & player unit) and their position. Interactions trigger script functions instead of playing a random line, so you can implement stuff like base conversations.

It also comes with a Paragon module so you can edit everything through a UI:

Tbh this looks kinda like exactly what I was looking for/what I wanted to do. For better story integration I thought it would be way better if they don't go to the always same MyCastle but to "different castles" the pass along the way (with different shops etc.)

I have a quick question: how do I combine two .bch files into one .bch.lz file? I'm trying to change Reina's face, so I grabbed her face texture from bu/uHead_F_ch128_0_cl0n and changed it. There's also an eye texture in the decompressed file which I don't need to change. However, because the face texture file has the same name as the combined face/eye .bch file, my Reina pops up with no eyes (but the face IS changed).

I'm able to convert both the face and eye .pngs to .bch files and I can convert the individual .bch files to .bch.lz, but is there a way to combine .bch files into just one (in this case, just one uHead_F_ch128_0_cl0n.bch.lz containing both the face and eye textures)? Am I able to just select a folder and convert that to a .bch? Or what would be the best course of action in this case?

Depends on what you mean by mod. For inserting new music, you need to add an external sound entry in the BCSAR. You can use BCSAR View for this - best just to copy everything from another entry and change the names.

For changing existing music, replacements, etc the tricky part is that map music uses 5 channels (3 for mono/stereo, then 2 extra for the battle music). Most bcstm converters can't do five channels, but VGAudio should be able to.

I just got to chapter 21 on the revelation path and i cannot upgrade the accessory shop. Is this normal? Im playing the US special edition with the gay fates hack

Can someone send me an unedited script file for chapter 27 of Revelations? It's a long, and possibly pathetic, story, but the short of it is I can't seem to find the Revelations chapter scripts. I have my Conquest and Birthright ones but not my Revelations ones - however the game runs perfectly fine, it's just that I really wanna make some changes to chapter 27. So, yeah, please and thank you!!

Is there any documentation about where common files are found? I'm trying to hunt around for some sound files in FE14. I've found a load of My Room clips, but haven't come across the neutral ones that the chapters often use (e.g. VOICE_ENEMY_M1_EVT_06). I don't actually need to edit them, I just want to listen to them so that I know which ones are being called in the dialogue files.

has anyone tried to successfully string the whole chapters from birthright, conquest and revelation into one run? Would like to do all 60+ chapters in a single path chosen. I'm not sure how to correctly do so without any errors occuring in the game.

When I did this, my list of chapters in the game shows up 2 set of birthright repeatedly, no where could i find conquest and revelations.

Hello there! I may not be an expert but I think I can help with this problem.


First things first, in each chapter there are three fields that are of interest to you:
- X Next Chapter: The chapter that is unlocked after beating this chapter on the indicated route.
- X Requirement: The chapter that you have to beat to unlock this one.
- Route: The routes in which this chapter appears.
The original "A Vow Upheld" appears only in the Birthright route, is unlocked after "In the White Light" and unlocks "Fierce Winds".

However, your modified "A Vow Upheld" leads to no chapter and doesn't require a chapter to be unlocked, which means that it will be unlocked from the beginning. If the same is true for the rest of the Birthright and Revelations chapters then that is the reason they appear in the chapter list. Give them an unlock chapter and they'll appear only once you've beaten said chapter.


Here's an example of how it would probably look if you modified the chapters to appear as a string of the chapters in each route:

Here I've selected Conquest as the route you take to get all the chapters, and for my build chapters will go in the order Birthright->Conquest->Revelations->Birthright->... In my build, "A Vow Upheld" (Br chapter 7) would be unlock after Rev chapter 6 and will unlock Conq chapter 7.

I hope this was clear enough, feel free to ask if you find more problems or if this doesn't work :D

That's weird, I've also just beaten chapter 21 (in Birthright though) and I can upgrade my accessory shop to level 3 just fine. I'm on the Eur special edition with gay fates. Did you put another hack apart from that one? If that's the only hack you have I can make you a patch to try to fix the issue (if you still have it after these three months, of course).

I've been having an issue and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it. I'm trying to add a new paralogue that is an exact copy of Kana's paralogue, but when I launch the mission, the opening cutscene runs perfectly, but after that when the screen fades to black to start the battle, it stays black and never loads. Later I saw that if I remove the Terrain.cmb file, then the cutscene gets a little broken, but the battle loads fine (though obviously missing everything in the Terrain file, such as dragon veins) Is there something that I need to change in the Terrain.cmb file, or is the issue somewhere else? Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me!

I don't know much about map editing but I'll see if I can help. Can you send the files of the chapter?

I had that issue for a while while attempting to turn some DLC maps into paralogues. It randomly fixed itself tho for some reason. The steps that occured between it not working and it suddenly working were as follows:

-Deleted testing savefile and got to final chapter on a new one
-Accidental reset of gamedata.bin
-Emptied the contents of the terrain.cmb using exalt. (Left a blank file handling the terrrain in scripts)
-Custom paralogue loaded but I couldn't use the doors since they are set by the terrain.cmb
-Re-entered the contents of the terrain.cmb
-Paralogue still loaded
-Remade the gamedata.bin with the mods I was using before the reset.
-Paralogue still loaded

This might work for you, if it does and you find out what exactly fixed it please let me know.

If you want to convert them to the .bch format of Fire Emblem Fates, which I imagine is a normal .bch, then the process was discovered by thane98 on this thread on 2017:

It takes several steps (depending on original file type) and requires certain leaked developer tools I'm not sure we can talk about, but this is the only method discovered as far as I know.
If someone finds more methods it would be helpful if they could share them.
