Thank you so much for this amazing project! The usb feature is very useful for me! I loved it.

Just wondering if anyone has created an nsp forwarder for this?
THANKS!

--Edit--
never mind. I saw it in previous post.
Thanks again

Porting story:
libupnp
Porting done but i want to share my experience.
A great library made by talented developers but full of nonsense from portability point of view.
configure fail for a missing syslog.h marked as mandatory.
Ok probably is full of log to syslog entry into the code….checked all the sourcecode and ONLY an #include <syslog.h> in one file not used.
This is odd….

I have a noob question. I can't seem to figure out how the path for my ftp file is supposed to be. assuming my files are on c:/files, how would the path for ftp look? source=TESTFtp|ftp://user:[email protected]:21/C:\files
is this correct?

Dev Update:
Got Samba working......need test but seems to work.
Using libsmb2 (also on ffmpeg with a custom avformat module)
Maybe if all is good in the 0.6.0 version.

Dev update:
Before giving up with samba i made it work in a stable way.
Tested on a win 10 share and all is working as expected.
Ffmpeg part is nearly done and when all is ok a new beta will be sent to testers

The 0.6.0 is a very very big update with many of the requested feature implemented and also with samba protocol that i think is a unique feature in switch media player homebrew!
Enjoy my madness :D

I'm not an icon expert, but as a consumer, it's nice to see that each icon has a different utility, but they get familiar with each other. In short, keep a Switch in front and behind to change the symbols or icons in relation to the function.

It could not be a Switch, but a custom Docker for each thing. And instead of seeing the Switch inserted in it, you can see some symbol with the function sticking out.

A concept:
icon file.pngicon cloud.pngicon folder.png

the strings works fine by me but when i play mp3 files or other movie files i become only a black screen with message "Buffering Media" for 30 Seconds and there goes back to the directory
the C:\ is odd in ftp. probably it break the ffmpeg part.
i suggest you to fix the config of your ftp server to make a more sane path in form /files/

but that game barely runs at native 4k

I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports

they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding

AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that

least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling

They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great

so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously

Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?

Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more

    Tandem even

i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling

even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways

you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
