Homebrew Saturn emulation using Cotton/Guardian Force testing and debug

Been watching this thread for awhile now and I'm curious, are you able to make full blown Saturn nsp files with this or is it an over the top layeredfs thing. Like custom icons and the likes, how easy would it be to get the bug! games working on the switch with savestates and whatnot?
A thing of minutes, when you use USHS to build your custom Saturn nsp. Of course it would help, if you know how to use a hex editor for the customizing (.tex) part. Imagemagick could also help with automating stuff at a larger scale. But a lot of this is already integrated into the great USHS. I guess LayeredFS is only needed for playing multi disk titles for swapping the bin/cue image file.

Tried KOF 95. No joy due to the specific 1MG cartridge it uses. I'm planning to play about with the cartridge setting in the decrypted config file but just wondered if anyone had any tips? Was there any logic to finding the 00/21/5a/5c settings?

If you take cover art requests id love to have NHL allstars 95 and Worldwide soccer 97 covers and christmas Nights also🙂

I assume you mean the simply named "NHL All-Stars". I simply cropped the pre-existing jewel case one on thecoverproject forum, hope this suffices. Also was working on a couple of Christmas NiGHTS covers this morning.

The logic was this is clearly SSF in disguise and upon trying those settings like one would do for SSF, they worked accordingly.

Ahhh. Makes sense. I'm not familiar with SSF. Was there a setting for the KOF cartridge? Guessing not...

These looks awasome! Now if you could make woldwide soccer 97 then my collection is complete 🙂
 
Only KOF 95 and Ultraman needed proprietary ROM carts but both have hacks to take make it so you only need to use the 4MB RAM cart
Cheers. So KOF 95 won't work straight off with the 4mg cart - it needs some other hack? Guess I need to do some digging...
 
For Virtua Fighter 2 there are no punching sounds hearable? Music yes but now sound fx. Any idea why? I used the recommended config from here. US VER. PAL won't boot.
 
I got Deathtank unlocked from Duke :)

God I love that intro music. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! Now just to find a way to get 7 players working...

I’m hoping for someone to figure out how to get more than two players with this. Right now we may have to wait for an official emulator or hope for another saturn tribute game to come out that actually allow more than two players in the game.

The original ssf emulator supported at least 10 controller inputs and I've found reports of people getting it to run 10 player Bomberman on pc.

It's an old thread but sounds promising (scroll to the end). Portflag0 in the config ini seems to be the key. I just don't know how it should be configured...

I am getting an error when I try to dump my keys with Keys Lockpick, it says unkon pgk version, Can someone give me a hint as to why I get this error?
 
How should I set the .ini config in orther to make the game fill the full screen? I have varios games patched to display natively in widescreen I seing them in a tiny square is horrid.

Thank you. Do you have links to replace the controller screen from the Japanese one and to change then images on the sides? I thought I had the right wallpaper files from an earlier post but it doesn't apply right.
