Yep, it's what fixed the problem, halfway through the process i think i learned what was happening my system was trying to show the "new Update available" notice but every time it tried my 3DS crashed which i think is fixed since the Ctransfer involved updating my system
You should be on an older firmware after the Ctrtransfer, and you need to update again in system settings to the latest version if you want to, just make sure you have the latest Luma3DS.
