I am running CBHC, most recent version. Downloaded ftpiiU everywhere, obtain a successful connection to the Wii U. I can access the SD folder, but every other folder results in the error "Could not retrieve directory listing". I have tried both FileZilla and WinSCP. Error states:

Error listing directory '/storage_mlc'.
Could not retrieve directory listing
Success

The gamepad says:

Got command: LIST -a
Wrote reply: 550 Success
Got command: CWD /stroage_mlc
Wrote reply: 550 Success

I searched some threads, the only thing I saw was that I should run Mocha CFW. Is this still true, even with CBHC?

Since I'm not getting much information/feedback on this subject, I'll provide some of my trial and error insights:

1. ALWAYS! ALWAYS backup the original and/or last working rootca.pem file(s), before doing modifying anything! This is in case something goes horribly wrong, like the browser bricking.
2. Adding too many certs (or at least similar versions of the same cert) to the file can cause the browser to brick upon opening.
3. (For me at least) Mocha must be running, so your FTP client can access the storage_mlc files at all. Or else you get "failed to retrieve directory listing".

I had also this problem.
It happens when :
  • using the wrong ftpiiu version (MOCHA / CBHC)
  • if you're not running CBHC and forgot to launch MOCHA before ftpiiu
  • If you have a hidden USB device and forgot to unplugged it !

@godreborn I think I'm missing something.

I went to the website, but it doesn't contain any instruction on how to install WiiUFTPServer in the SD card.

I don't even know where I click to download.

I'm so sorry, this is all really new to me

Okay, I managed to find the .elf file, WiiUFTPServer now appears on the Homebrew Launcher, but when I load it says "Error: No running CFW detected" and returns to HBL menu
